Calling All Readers! Were you a kid who enjoyed Sustained Silent Reading time? On Thursday, September 3, we are starting a Community of Readers. It's from 4:00-5:00. We will have 20 minutes of silent reading time, 10 minutes to discuss with a partner, then we will repeat that. You do not have to be a member of the church. All are welcome. Bring a friend! Social Justice Team Meeting

Sunday, September 6th at 12:00pm (after service) In the Sanctuary

Come meet our new Social Justice Team Leader, Josh Grant, and lets talk about the future of the team and our collective vision for Social Justice at UU Fresno. This meeting is open to all congregants interested in Social Justice. If you are attending online or cannot make it that day, please fill out this form to submit your input.

UU Fresno is working with congregations around the country to encourage voters to participate in the 2026 mid-term elections.

This effort is built on individual actions you can take anytime! Here is how you can be a part of it:

1. Donate stamps or funds for stamps to the UUCF Social Justice Committee.

2. Sign up to write post-cards from home with Vote Forward: https://votefwd.org/get-involved OR with Center for Common Ground: https://www.centerforcommonground.org/postcards

3. Visit the Social Justice Table on Alluvial Ave. on 9/13 to pick up letter writing supplies and/or join us during coffee hour on 9/13 for a letter writing meetup.

Join in beloved community to support the Holiday Gift Bag Project on Tues. Sept. 1st at 2pm at Carrie's place. (near Palm and Shaw). We will be folding greeting cards that are purchased in bulk and shipped flat. It’s fun, easy, and quick! The Livingstone’s, long-time church members, experienced a severe house fire on Tuesday night. Everyone is safe. They are currently displaced and staying at a hotel. They are searching for a rental home in Fresno, 3 bedroom, $1800/month price range.

Hearing Assistive Devices are available at the Sound Booth for those attending Sunday services who require assistance in hearing spoken words, and, in particular, sung lyrics. The audio feed to the devices has been set so that vocalists will be prominent.
