Iced Coffee Hour! Sundays in July 10:30-11:30
Reminder: Services are paused at UU Fresno for the month of July to allow our Sunday staff and volunteers a time for rest and renewal. Iced Coffee Hour returns every Sunday in July from 10:30-11:30 AM. There will also be Children's Programming every Sunday in June during Iced Coffee Hour. Come join Cecily and other congregants for iced coffee and community! Note: This is not a potluck, but feel free to bring any treats if you wish!

This month, our children and youth are celebrating Pride through art, creativity, and community as we affirm the beauty and dignity of LGBTQ+ people and families.
This year's Pride celebration comes at a time when the Fresno County Board of Supervisors voted to block the Fresno County Public Library from officially recognizing or celebrating LGBTQ+ Pride Month and prohibited library participation in the Fresno Rainbow Pride Festival. The decision has sparked conversations throughout our community about visibility, belonging, and the importance of ensuring that all people feel seen and valued.
In response to this, our Norelma Waker Youth Library, during the month of June, will host a display that features books for children, youth, and adults that celebrate LGBTQ+ people, families, stories, and history. We invite everyone to stop by, browse the collection, and learn more about the importance of inclusion, representation, and belonging, and help us create a colorful display of support for our LGBTQ+ community.

Splash Into Summer! RE YoUUth Pool Party 2026!

All ages of our RE YoUUth community are invited to join us for an afternoon of swimming, games, laughter, and connection as we celebrate the summer season together. This is a great opportunity for children, youth, and families to relax, have fun with friends, and enjoy time in community before the holiday weekend. Lunch provided. Animal Supplies Collection this Sunday, June 21
The Compassion in Action Team is again seeking pet food, treats, toys and collars and leashes (used or new) to distribute to homeless folks with pets. In addition, we welcome bedding such as old sheets and blankets for the Fresno Animal Center. Look for us in the corridor by the kitchen.

Unitarian Universalist Association is coordinating congregations around the country to write post cards to encourage voters to participate in the 2026 mid-term elections, and you can be a part of it!
- Drop by our table in the breezeway on Alluvial Ave. and pick up post cards to write at home.
- Join a "post-card parties" during some of our Summer coffee hours on Alluvial Ave.
- Donate stamps to ensure postcards get to voters.

Declaration of Independence Discussion, Sunday, June 28th, 12:00pm
After the worship service, people will be invited to stay and be a part of the reading and discussion of the Declaration of Independence in marking its 250 anniversary. The document is foundational for evaluating our progress as a democracy and setting our sites on what comes next! 4th of July cupcakes will be provided. Location TBA.

Church member Marty Lucey passed into the mysteries of death on May 18th after a brief illness. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 27th, at 11 AM in the sanctuary. | | | | Chloe Ockey, former staff member at UU Fresno who grew up in the church, has been ELECTED to be a member of the national Board of Trustees of the Unitarian Universalist Association! Nancy Hatcher and the rest of the Social Justice team would like to express their gratitude for those who help with our 3rd Sunday food donation. Your donations provide food to the parent or grandparent who are staying with their child at Valley Children's Hospital. Many do not have the financial resources to purchase food in the hospital cafeteria and often do not have a car to get to a grocery store. In the meantime, until a family member can arrive to provide some food, the food we provide helps them to have something to eat. We are the only church in the San Joaquin Valley that provides a monthly donation such as this one and we have been doing this for 26 years! | | | |
