Dennison’s striking debut will serve as both solace and flame to readers looking for them in equal measure. Rev. Sean Parker Dennison is the minister at Rogue Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Ashland, Oregon and cofounded TRUUsT, an organization for transgender UU religious leaders, in 2004. Natural Mysticism: How the Transcendentalists Brought Us Back to Earth. Wednesday, June 10, 17, and 24 at 10:00 AM, or Monday, June 15, 22, and 29 at 7 pm.  Inspired by Rev. Tim’s recent sermon, join Tim for a three-part exploration of Natural Mysticism and its origins in the Unitarian Transcendentalist Movement of the 1800’s. We’ll meet Margaret Fuller, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Louisa May Alcott, Henry David Thoreau, and so many others. We’ll also see how Natural Mysticism has influenced modern Unitarian Universalism, through Earth-Based Traditions and the poetry of Mary Oliver, Wendell Berry and Joy Harjo. FACEBOOK MARKETING HELP NEEDED Do you understand the ins and outs of marketing through Facebook? Are you willing to learn? Rev. Tim is hoping to broaden the outreach of our worship services. The staff just does not have the bandwidth to spend time figuring this out. We have a rare opportunity during this pandemic to reach a larger audience and we need someone to coordinate our doing this. Email Tim at: tkutzmark@uufresno.org
Food donations Update At this time, Valley Children's Hospital is not taking any food donations. Wesley Church still is. For this month, they need tuna, cereal, soups, beans and pasta. Drop off would be any Tuesday 8:30-11:00 at Wesley 1343 E. Barstow (just west of CSUF). Go east into the parking lot and the last building; last door would be the food drop off. The nonpartisan Environmental Voter Project encourages environmentalists in other states to register and vote by mail. Citizens' Climate Lobby (CCL), San Francisco is hosting phone banks. Pledge update: Your Annual Pledge Drive team has been reaching out to members and friends in hopes of meeting the proposed budget goal for 2020-2021. Our current pledges are at an impressive $602,080.34 . This amount is 92% of our goal of $655,300 . We still have $53,219.66 left to raise. Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA) General Assembly (GA) is going Virtual on June 24-28.  Five-day Virtual General Assembly (VGA) 2020 offers Unitarian Universalists an opportunity to gather and deepen our connections with each other and our faith.
