The Norelma Walker Youth Library Summer Reading Celebration! Saturday, August 8 from 10 to 11 AM in the UUCF parking lot Drive through and pick up your reward goodies!
On Saturday, August 8 you will receive a $10 gift certificate to Petunia’s Place book store, a goody bag of cookies and a choice from a couple of books to take home in celebration of your participation in the Norelma Walker Youth Library Summer Reading Program 2020. Parents, load your Summer Reader into your car on August 8 and follow the arrow to drive through the parking lot of UUCF between 10 and 11 A.M. You will see a pop-up tent with Norelma Walker Youth Library volunteers waiting in the shade. A volunteer will give you the Petunia’s Place gift certificate and the cookies. The volunteer will offer a choice of two reward books from which to choose. We will place these in your car trunk or give them to you directly, as you choose. If your Summer Reader wishes to share their Reading Log and ratings with the volunteer, that will be fun, however reading just one book this summer qualifies the Summer Reader to receive the reward, and we operate on an honor system. Questions? Contact Sharon Rossi at (559) 593-1862 or sharonsrossi@gmail.com

Tim for this three-part exploration of how, from a Unitarian Universalist perspective, we can live in the midst of chaos and uncertainty. What spiritual opportunities can be found? We’ll use short readings, reflections, conversation and spiritual practices to help us learn to sit with discomfort and perhaps even make peace with it. Registration is required, as is a short reading and writing exercise to be completed prior to the first session. Adult Religious Exploration committee. In this time of newness and change, the Adult Religious Exploration committee would like to invite you to explore the questions: what do you need, what can you offer, and what will bring us together? Therefore, we invite you to take a bit of your time to fill out this survey of interests, talents and needs. Click the link below to give us your much needed feedback.
Food Distribution.  Join the team of dedicated volunteers distributing food at Balderas Elementary School on Monday, July 27th from 8:15 to 11:30 a.m. We were very successful and had fun last month, and have some new volunteers joining this month. Generosity Team.  Do you have photos of generosity toward others that the Generosity Team could use as slides during our services online and when we return altogether to our sanctuary? We are looking for photos that demonstrate the generosity of our members within our congregation and in the larger community.
