M'Ella House Backpack Project is collecting supplies this July. Backpacks needed, and basic school supplies: Pencils, crayons, colored pencils, glue sticks, notebooks, folders, scissors, pencil boxes/bags... We will be collecting July 14-28, Sundays in the breezeway. Thanks for your generous help to the back-to-school kids at M'Ella House; a program that provides treatment, rehabilitation, counseling, and parenting instruction to mothers with addiction problems. . *Board books and early-readers always needed*

The July Second Sunday Social Justice Offering recipient is the Fresno Metro Ministries Food to Share Program , a food partnership that provides access and availability of nutritious food to underserved communities in Fresno County and makes significant contributions to the improvement of regional air quality. You might also consider Day of Promise: Selections from Unitarian Universalist Meditation Manuals, or Christ for Unitarian Universalists: A New Dialogue with Traditional Christianity. For those of us who didn’t grow up UU, books like these are invaluable.
