All-Church Lunch. On Sunday, February 16. we will welcome new members to our church. After the service the Visitor and New Member Committee will host a creative sandwich-making lunch. We will provide breads, condiments, and a variety of fillings from which you can create your own interesting sandwich. We will also serve desserts. BLACK FAMILY DAY EVENT . My name is Vannessa Brown and I am the African American Student Coordinator, we are having a Black Family Day event! This is where Fresno State students, faculty, staff, community members, prospective students, and their families are welcome to celebrate and engage with the Fresno State campus! This event is on February 22, 2020 in the North Gym from 11:30 am-5 pm. This is for prospective students as well, so they can see what Fresno State is like. There will be a Family Talent Show, make sure you register your family! Also, there will be a free resource fair, giveaways, kid's area, games, art

Death Café (open for all ages) - Sun, Feb 16, 12:30-2:30 pm.  The Death Café movement began in England with the goal of encouraging people to gather, share some food, and discuss death. Death Cafes are not grief support groups; instead, they are places for people of all ages to meet and discuss their thoughts and feelings about death in a safe and supportive environment. Tim for this exciting experiential workshop that will focus on practicing how and what to say in various settings in which you might be called upon to declare yourself religiously or to explain something about our liberal faith tradition that has touched and changed so many lives for the better. Interfaith Scholar Weekend, Feb 21-23. Featuring Dr. Rajmohan Gandhi, author of more than a dozen books and grandson of Mohandas Gandhi, Rajmohan Gandhi is a historian and biographer involved in efforts for trust-building and reconciliation. Visit for full information and tickets.

Leap into some family ministry at our Leap Day Family Potluck! Saturday, February 29, 6 pm. Join our Spirit School families as we come together to share a meal and some good UU fulfillment as we share, move, breathe, and love intentionally. A new Greeter is needed for the third Sunday of each month. Being a Greeter is a great way to serve our church and is a good way for new members to get better acquainted. We are excited to have a new date and location for our Mayoral Candidates Forum! We will be hosted at St. James Episcopal Cathedral (4147 E. Dakota) on Thursday, February 13th, at 6 pm . With just over a month from now until the March 3rd election, this is a critical, likely last, opportunity for hundreds of voters to hear directly from the candidates on the issues we all care about. This column just up on The Fresno Bee ( ) says: " In all likelihood, the #Fresno4All Mayoral Candidate Forum will be the best attended of any held during this election cycle.”

El Dorado Park neighborhood. Sunday Feb. 16 is the food offering for the food insecure people living in the El Dorado Park neighborhood (coordinated by Wesley United Methodist Church) and the families who have children in Valley Children's Hospital. Please bring items from the food strips passed out during the 2nd Sunday church service or from this list: Thank you from the Social Justice Team.
