Book Drive & Curbside Drop-Off

Do you need to clear some space in your home to get ready for the holidays? Are you ready to tidy up your living space and try a Marie Kondo inspired life? Are you looking for sustainable options for moving your old books and media into new hands, where they will be appreciated and used? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, the Chandler Public Library is ready to assist!

From 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Oct. 5, all four Chandler Public Library locations will participate in a Book Drive & Curbside Drop-off event to collect items that later will be sold through the Friends of the Chandler Public Library Book Shops. Donation of adult and children's hardback and paperback books, audio CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray Discs and textbooks will help the Friends raise critical funds for library programs and services.

To donate, place your gently used books and media in small boxes and bring them to your nearest Chandler Library location between 10 a.m. and noon on Oct. 5. Follow directional signage to the drop-off point and teen volunteers will be on hand to unload your donations. To see a complete list of what we do and don't accept, click here.

Ages & Stages Questionnaire
Did you know five million children under the age of five are at risk for developmental delays?

ASQ is a set of questions about children's development from one month to age 5 1/2. The Chandler Library has partnered with Valley of the Sun United Way to bring this valuable tool to caregivers. The screening provides a quick look at how children are doing in important areas, such as communication, physical ability, social skills and problem-solving. ASQ can help identity your child's strengths as well as any areas where your child may need support.

When you click on the link to the Ages and Stages Questionnaire, the information you enter is secure and cannot be seen or accessed by anyone other than the program employees at Valley of the Sun United Way. Children's individual data will not be shared with anyone other than the parent or legal guardian. ASQ is a tool to help parents and caregivers connect to early intervention services and community resources.
