KUMA APPLEWOOD
WOOD COOK STOVE!
MADE IN USA
Last year, Kuma introduced a new, compact wood-fired cook stove. Dedicated readers of our Woodway Wednesday Weekly know that I had one installed in my home a year ago and I absolutely love it!
Choose the Applewood cook stove for style and versatility! Bake in the oven or make breakfast on the oven top griddle. Remove the door and oven top griddle to cook at medium temperatures on the oven rack. Remove the oven rack for boiling at high temperatures on the stove top.
Imagine enjoying a toasty fire while baking your favorite cookies and bread. The firebox is 1.2 cubic ft. and will take up to a 14" log. It has solid steel construction and has an ash pan system included.
Items included with this stove include a Lodge cast iron griddle, an extra grilling grate adds extra functionality to cook "campfire" style in the firebox, and a thermometer to monitor the temperature.
Optional accessories include two side shelves to expand your food prep area, a cook's comfort shield to protect you from the heat while you are cooking, and additional cast iron griddles for convenience.
This unit is not a certified residential wood heater. The primary use for this stove is cooking and baking. Our granddaughter is growing so fast. During the holidays we also added a KIDCO gate to keep her safe as she's learning to walk. It's a great investment in peace of mind & safety, for the baby and stove.
Since it has been so unseasonably warm in Fairbanks this January, I haven't been firing up the stove and cooking. I hear we're dropping down to -30 in the next few days, so I may need to come up with a recipe to try near the end of the week. I'll let you know if I do in the next installment of our Woodway Wednesday Weekly! At least with colder temperatures the roads are sure to improve! Stay warm and safe! In the spirit of safety, we do have the Chimfex flares (pictured below) in stock, as well as FireEx chimney fire suppressants.
Both products are excellent, in case of a chimney fire. Of course, you would still want to call 911 in case of a fire, too!
Thank you for shopping locally!
