A Message from Mayor Todd Rigby

Hi there Eastvale, thank you for checking out another edition of our monthly newsletter.

I'd like to dedicate this edition to former City Councilmember Dickie Simmons and the three CalFire personnel that lost their lives this month. Each of these individuals served not only our community, but our surrounding communities well, and their absence will be noticed.

The City of Eastvale will not forget these heroes and are thankful for the time we had with them.

Mayor Todd Rigby

Rest In Peace, Dickie

Several weeks ago the City of Eastvale was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of former Eastvale Councilmember Richard “Dickie” Simmons.

Dickie served on the City Council from May 2016 through December 2016. He also served on the Board of Directors at Jurupa Community Services District from 2016 through 2020.

Often known as “Mr. Eastvale,” Dickie was a true champion for the City and community as a whole.

Rest In Peace, Dickie. Thank you for your community service.

In Loving Memory

The City of Eastvale would like to extend its deepest condolences to CalFire and the friends and families of Assistant Chief Josh Bischof, Fire Captain Tim Rodriguez, and Helicopter Pilot Tony Sousa, who lost their lives fighting the Broadway Fire in Riverside County earlier this month.

Thank you for all that you did for our community. Your bravery and sacrifice will not be forgotten.
