Our third annual Miracle at Riverview is officially over and we could not be more thankful to the thousands of guests, hundreds of volunteers, and dozens of vendors that made this weekend possible!

And a special thank you to the Eastvale City Council and City staff for their dedication to fun, family-friendly community events.

Fire and Police Appreciation Luncheon

On December 12, the City of Eastvale was honored to partner with the Eastvale Chamber of Commerce for our second annual Fire and Police Appreciation Luncheon!

The City and Chamber are filled with immense gratitude and pride as we extend our heartfelt thanks to the brave men and women of CAL Fire and the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department who consistently go above and beyond the call of duty.

Thank you for your outstanding service. Our community is stronger, safer, and more resilient because of your selfless contributions.

And congratulations to everyone recognized!

Shop with a Cop

Earlier this month, the City of Eastvale was excited to visit the Riverside County Sheriff's Department as they conducted their annual Shop with a Cop event in the Eastvale Gateway!

Shop with a Cop is a community outreach program organized by the Riverside County Sheriff's Department to bring joy and foster positive relationships between law enforcement officers and the youth of Eastvale.

The day starts with a shared meal, providing an opportunity for the children and officers to connect on a personal level and continues as they embark on a unique shopping spree, exploring various stores. Participating children have the chance to pick out items of their choice, with no cost incurred by them or their families. This gesture not only brings smiles to the faces of the young participants but also reinforces a positive connection with law enforcement!

A heartfelt thank you goes out to RSO for orchestrating this impactful event and to Target and Dick's Sporting Goods for the partnership.

Candy Cane Lane

This December, the City was happy to partner with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department for another heartwarming Candy Cane Lane!

Families gathered, smiles were shared, and the spirit of giving was alive as candy canes were distributed, leaving behind a trail of festive memories. Thank you to everyone who joined us on this delightful journey through the city's streets. Until next year, Eastvale!

Slurry Seal FAQ

Over the last several weeks many residents have reached out to us regarding our recent slurry seal project.

Rest assured; the roadways are not complete! The slurry seal process takes several months to complete, and we are committed to the completion of this project.

If you have any questions regarding the project, check out these frequently asked questions!

Question: What is slurry seal?

Answer: Slurry seal provides a protective coating for our streets and is designed to seal and extend the life of the pavement.

Question: When will this project be completed?

Answer: Work began in November and should take approximately three months to complete. However, factors like weather may affect the time line.

Question: What can I expect from the slurry seal?

Answer: When the slurry seal is applied, it is a light brown color due to the chemical reactions and the temperature of the mix. As the mix becomes exposed to heat and sunlight, it will begin to turn black. Even after the streets are open, it takes several months for the slurry to completely cure. Because of this, normal driving on recently slurried streets may cause tire tracks or gouges from turning wheels. While this will affect only the appearance of the streets, and many times is unavoidable, much of this will disappear with time and traffic. Street striping and markings will be replaced approximately two weeks after the slurry seal is applied.

Question: Will the gravel on my street be cleaned up?

Answer: Yes. If your street was recently sealed, rest assured that the gravel is a normal part of the process. Once the slurry seal is fully set, which may take several weeks, crews will return to roadways to continue the work. Driving on the gravel in the meantime is perfectly safe and normal. Over the next few weeks American Asphalt will increase street sweeping to decrease the gravel.
