Continued Care Amidst Covid
|
|
As you know, COVID continues to spread rapidly from one person to another in our nation and even in our our local communities. A priority for Aestique is to continue to schedule and provide elective surgical procedures. Despite COVID vaccines being readily available, the Delta variant of the SARS-COV-2 virus is causing the rate of COVID cases to increase. The Delta variant is more infectious, and is leading to increased transmissibility, and may cause more severe illness than the previous strains. However, infections are happening in only a few of vaccinated people.
Aestique fully supports and encourages the effective administration of the COVID vaccines for all employees and practitioners within our organization so that we can continue to remain operational and provide the excellent patient care and customer service that you've come to expect from our facility.
While we are not mandating vaccinations for employees or guests, we are urging everyone to become fully vaccinated. The threat to the health of our patients and staff is very real and we are committed to the highest level of care and safety to ensure this.
We currently do not require our patients and guests to be vaccinated. You will, however, be asked to wear a mask while you are in any of our facilities. We will continue to monitor the CDC and public health official's guidelines and adjust our policies accordingly. Thank you for your continued cooperation.

“Exceptional People, Providing Exceptional Surgical Care”.

Just a reminder that we are still requiring social distancing. Any visitors accompanying patients who are here for follow up office visits are asked to wait outside the building or in their car during the patient's procedure. Surgical patients and consultations are limited to 1 guest to accompany them. No visitors under the age of 16 are permitted.

|
Now more then ever, it is essential that medical facilities take the appropriate measures to protect surfaces against the threat of harmful microbes, including Covid.
At Aestique Surgery Center, we prioritize proper sanitation and cleanliness throughout our entire facility. To support our efforts, we recently engaged a mobile sanitizing and disinfection company in order to create a cleaner, more hygienic environment for all of our staff and guests.

Welcome Dr. Jacob DiCesare
|
|
In 2006 he returned to Pittsburgh to do a Family Practice residency at UPMC/St. Margaret and a Sports Medicine Fellowship with the Allegheny Health Network. In 2010 he started working for Excela Health Orthopedics, becoming their first non-operative Sports Medicine physician and in 2020 he started his own private practice, DiCesare Orthopedic Medicine. During his years of working in a high volume Orthopedic practice he became specialized in musculoskeletal ultrasound and regenerative medicine.
Dr DiCesare expressed "Hospital owned practices tend to steer physicians towards a “one size fits all” model of patient care that is often good for some and fair for most. My goal in private practice is to use the tools I’ve developed to help patients be healthier and feel better."
We are so excited to have Dr. DiCesare seeing patients here at Aestique!

Aestique is constantly looking at the newest and best technology to ensure the best patient outcomes at our surgery center. We are excited to announce that we will be providing Tenex procedures with Dr. DiCesare.
Tenex procedure is a trademarked non surgical procedure that helps patients who are suffering from chronic tendon pain by removing damaged scar tissue on the tendons. This procedure is particularly effective on the tendons of the elbow, shoulder, knee and ankle
Always something new and exciting at Aestique Surgery Center!

Aestique extends sympathy for one of our own
|
|
It is with a very heavy heart that Aestique said goodbye to one of our own surgeons here at Aestique Surgery Center, Dr. Daniel Vittone. Dr. Vittone was a very well known ophthalmologist from the Greensburg area. He shared a private practice with his father, Ronald and brother, Mike, who is also on staff here at Aestique.
Dr. Dan Vittone passed away unexpectedly on May 23. Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and staff as we all feel the loss. To honor his memory, Aestique has donated to several charities designated by his family.

We would love to introduce you to some our newest team members!
Welcome Beth Bennett, RN to our Aestique Surgery Center . Beth joined our clinical team as a Pre Op and PACU Nurse in the winter of 2020. She was born and raised in Latrobe and earned her BSN at Pitt. She began as a med-surg nurse and transitioned to ICU. A move out of the state gave her the opportunity to work in surgical services, primarily in PACU. She loved the pace and the variety of the PACU. When she moved back she landed in outpatient surgery and realized her love! Over the years she has been cross-trained to work in pre-operative areas as well as the operating room but always comes back to the Recovery Room!
Have you met our new Spa team member, Tori Rebisa? She is a Registered Nurse with a background in ICU. She started her aesthetic training in Scottsdale, AZ and relocated to Pittsburgh where she worked at a large MediSpa for the past 3 years. She is excited to use her education and training while keeping safety her top priority, to give patients the best outcomes and help boost their confidence inside and out.
Help us welcome our new Materials Management Liason for the Surgical Center, Thomas Miller. Thomas joined us this summer and has been a huge help in assisting with our supplies and inventory management. He was born and raised in Georgia and comes to us with 2 Associate Degrees, one in Psychology and one in IT. He enjoys watching movies, hiking, painting and playing games of all types with his wife and 1 1/2 year old daughter.
