Counseling Corner: Why Should I Care About Self-Care?
Sometimes, life can feel overwhelming. Our to-do lists get longer and the time left for taking care of ourselves gets shorter. Read some great self-care advice from Tami Earnhart, Marriage and Family Counselor at CRC.

Learn more about CRC's Counseling Programs, available to the community.
February is Teen Relationship Violence Awareness Month
Did you know that every year, approximately 1.5 million high school students nationwide experience physical abuse from a dating partner? Unfortunately, abusive relationships often begin at a very young age. That's why CRC works with local schools to educate teens about healthy relationships. Learn the warning signs or see how you can make a difference at the link below.

STORY OF THE WEEK
Providing Safety to a Family in Need
In 2015, Felix and his son found themselves victims of an abusive wife and mother. In one episode, Felix called 911 and had to go to the Emergency Room to receive medical attention. Though a police report was filed, Felix was unable to get his son to safety and he needed help. Read more about how Felix worked with CRC to bring his son to safety.

Thank You, Del Mar - Solana Beach Rotary Club!
Thank you to the Del Mar-Solana Beach Rotary Club for their contribution of $1,000 made in memory of longtime Del Mar-Solana Beach Rotary Club member and CRC volunteer, Thomas Slipper. IN THE COMMUNITY
George Winston Concert Raises Funds for CRC
Special thanks to George Winston for donating over $1,500 in proceeds from last weekend's concert at La Paloma Theatre to CRC! Concert attendees also gave over 50 pounds of canned food to benefit our Food Distribution Center. CRC is so appreciative of a supportive community that gives back!
VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCES
Thank you, WeAllCount Volunteers!
Thank you to the many volunteers who joined us in the early morning hours last month to count the number of individuals who are homeless or unsheltered in our community as part of the Regional Task Force on the Homeless Point-in-Time Count. Your involvement helps bring us closer to understanding the scope of homelessness in San Diego. Special thanks to Mayor Catherine Blakespear and her team, and City Council Members Joe Mosca and Tasha Boerner, for joining us.
Thank you, Del Mar Eagle Scouts!

Thank you to James for choosing CRC as your Eagle Scout project site and to the Del Mar Eagle Scout Troop 717 for making six new cabinets for our Food Distribution Center! These young men spent four days building these from scratch. Now we have a great place to keep supplies and food for those in need that come to us for food.
