September 2020

Normally our September newsletter features our Bus Buddy photos and program updates for back-to-school. But, just like so many of you, Cy-Hope grapples with what this school year will look like. We pivoted our focus this summer to feeding families in our community feeling the financial stress of the pandemic, and to providing teletherapy for those feeling the emotional toll.

We will shift our feeding focus to feeding families through our Backpack Program, although it will look different with some students learning from home and some at school. Our Counseling Center will continue to see clients in person and virtually, as needed. We have plans for a "Fall Ball" tournament to give our Dierker's Champs teams some field time. We have also opened our longest-running Longhorn Hope Center in a socially-distanced format with limited capacity. We anticipate this year will require further adjustments, especially as we have lost so much of our normal fundraising revenue.

Our team is hard at work to make sure Cy-Hope works efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our community while adjusting to our new normal. We could certainly not continue this work without your faithful support - so thank you for all you have done to see us through these difficult times. Be sure to follow us on Facebook to stay updated.
