This Month At Mustang

Advanced Purification Pilot Plant Arrives

Christmas came early this year for Mustang! This week, our advanced water purification pilot plant was delivered, set in place, and connected, kicking off a critical step in demonstrating and evaluating advanced purification technologies.

Packed inside a format just a bit larger than a standard shipping container is a smaller-scale model of the groundbreaking treatment approach we’re pioneering to help secure our region’s water future. It’s one more important step on a much longer journey that began years ago with a vision, and continues today with real progress.

Pump Station and Well Site Improvements

Mustang continues to evolve its infrastructure to meet increasing demand across the service area. Teams have been working diligently at our Temple Dane pump station, located just east of Cross Oak Ranch on FM 720, completing electrical improvements as well as installing valves and housekeeping pads in preparation for new, larger pumps. Upgrades to the pump station, well site, and storage tanks will bolster water supply during peak demand and increase storage for the highway 380 corridor and surrounding areas.

Progress and Paint in Gunter

Gunter's skyline is about to get a whole lot prettier as the painting process is well under way on our latest 1.5 million gallon elevated storage tank. Weather permitting, the process should be complete in early 2026.

Chlorine Training: It's a Gas!

Industry experts from Water Tech, Mustang's chlorine provider, recently dropped by Aubrey HQ to lead a training session with our distribution team.

The discussion covered the latest safety standards and regulations around chlorine handling, while also reviewing system considerations and best practices related to documentation and customer communication.

Cottonwood Elevated Storage Tank
and Site Improvements

Big things are happening west of the intersection of FM 902 and Farmington Road at the Cottonwood development. Ground construction for a 1.5 million gallon elevated storage tank has been underway for a while and contractors have made progress on the yard piping and other ground level improvements.

Just north of the elevated storage tank, contractors have poured concrete for the basin walls of one of Mustang's newest water reclamation facilities.

·     An estimated 91 million gallons of water are lost worldwide every day

·     Reducing losses by 30% could give access to already-treated water to 800 million people who might not otherwise have it

Dec 7: Pearl Harbor Day

Commemorates the anniversary of the 1941 attack on the U.S. naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, honoring 2,400+ American service members and civilians lost, leading the United States to enter World War II. While this event brought a somber mood of fear and uncertainty to the holiday season, it also a heightened appreciation for family and created a shared sense of purpose as it brought people together and united a nation.

Dec 24: Christmas Eve 🎁 🍪 🚰
