PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Our planter boxes are coming along! Thanks to area Home Depot stores (7120 N Academy Blvd, 15888 Jackson Creek Pkwy, & 102 N Academy Blvd) we were able to purchase lumber, hardware & supplies for the creation of raised garden beds at Zach's Place and our Adult Services programs. This will provide a fun and educational activity for our clients and staff alike! Thank you!
In January, the Adult Services program created Provider Night Out. This event happens monthly on a Saturday from 2-7pm and has been a big hit! Adult program participants mingle with their peers and it provides an opportunity for the caregivers to enjoy a night out and get a break on the weekend. We have caregivers reporting that they are using the time to see friends, go on a date with their partner and catch up on some alone time. The event has been a huge success!
Program participant Ciara is working on a teambuilding game with staff member Danette. Ciara LOVES Provider Night Out!
Kyle attended our Beach themed
Provider Night Out.
All smiles & having a good time!

A VOLUNTEER MAKING A DIFFERENCE
Amanda has been volunteering at Special Kids Special Families for the last few months. She has been working on various tasks including making PowerPoints for our Building Connections and Passports classes. She also been helping with organizing the Christmas decorations and craft supplies. She first volunteered to help Adult Services with delivering presents to our clients for Christmas.
She wanted to volunteer with SKSF because she saw how passionate her mom was working with the individuals we serve. She has a passion for helping people, she also enjoys art, hiking, playing various instruments, and singing. She is currently a senior in high school and is volunteering about 10 hours a week with SKSF right now.

Thank you Amanda for all your hard work and efforts - we appreciate YOU! If you're interested in volunteering with SKSF, call us at 719-447-8983 x42 or email us sksf@sksfcolorado.org. We could use your talents!
