With this crazy weather we have had and continue to have, our students often come into the health room needing a change of clothes for a variety of reasons.   As a result of this, our stock of used clothing in the health room has dwindled down quite a bit. If you happen to be cleaning out closets, we would love any used girls leggings - sizes 6-9 and boys sweats sizes 6-9.  Thank you so much!
Please Check the Lost & Found!  We will be displaying all of the Lost & Found items in the Kindergarten hallway and we will donate all unclaimed items at the end of the day on Friday, April 5th.
Mentoring at Stillwater
Youth Success! Mentoring is offered through the  Snoqualmie Valley Community Network (SVCN).
Mentoring is a positive youth development strategy that is one of the most effective and economical dropout prevention strategies. Research shows that having the positive influence of a mentor makes a real difference in the life of a youth. In general, kids with mentors: have better school attendance and improved GPA, report improved parent and peer relationships, are 46% less likely to initiate drug use and 27% less likely to use alcohol, and are 33% less likely to engage in physical violence. Mentor volunteers in the Youth Success! Mentoring Program commit to guiding and being a friend to a student for a period of at least one year. The mentor works one-to-one with a student in the school setting providing personal, academic, and social/emotional support.
YSM supports students who are in need of social and emotional support by facilitating meaningful connections between caring community members and students who could benefit from a positive influence. Mentor volunteers in YSM commit to guiding and being a friend to a student for a period of at least one school year. The mentor works one-on-one with a student in the school setting while providing personal and social/emotional support.
