This citywide working session will bring together small business owners, merchant associations, Community Benefit Districts, SFPD leadership and district captains, along with key city partners to address public safety challenges impacting San Francisco’s neighborhood commercial corridors.

The morning program will include:

  • Opening remarks from Chief of Police Derrick Lew and more city leadership speakers to be announced
  • An SFPD presentation on public safety technology and the Real Time Investigation Center (RTIC)
  • A moderated Q&A session
  • District-based breakout discussions led by SFPD station captains

This is a hands-on working session designed to foster candid dialogue, collaboration, and practical problem-solving. Additional details, confirmed speakers, and registration information will be shared closer to the event.

Please mark your calendars, we look forward to seeing you there. And please help spread the word by sharing this invitation with your small business community.

SOMA Residents Push Back on New Homeless, Drug Services

444 6th Street

333 7th Street

The Rapid Enforcement, Support, Evaluation, and Triage Center will open this spring at 444 6th St.

The RESET Center is one of several sites — including another rehabilitation center, Jo Ruffin Place, at 333 7th St. — planned for the neighborhood. Neighbors feel as if the intention of the legislation is not being reflected on the ground.”

Our board member, Leah Edwards, said that she and her neighbors are concerned about concentrating such services around a well-known open-air drug market in the neighborhood.

You’re taking people who you’re trying to get to become sober, and then releasing them onto 6th Street,” Edwards said. “It’s basically the worst place one could possibly be located if they were trying to be sober.”
