Laptop Donated for Volunteer in Malawi

Through BYU–Pathways and the Help Start Education Foundation, Wilford Woodruff Papers Project Advisor Steve Wheelwright was able to donate a laptop, making it possible for Rodrick Amon, to continue volunteering as a member of our Research Team.

Of his work on the Project, Rodrick shared, "I love this work, and as a new convert of the Church, I feel that it is a privilege to work with the Papers. The little work I am contributing will, in 100 years from now, make my posterity proud, knowing that their ancestor contributed to this marvelous work. Another thing that makes me proud is that my wife, Rosalia, is also volunteering on the team translating the Book of Mormon into our local language."

Advisor Mark Woodruff Gives Insight into the Statue of Moroni Atop the Salt Lake Temple

On April 2, 2024, the angel Moroni statue was returned to the top of the Salt Lake Temple. Mark Woodruff, Foundation Advisor, shared remarks about it relating to his ancestor Wilford Woodruff.

"Mark Woodruff, Executive Secretary to President Nelson, said President Woodruff did all he could to continue the vision of Joseph Smith and Brigham Young.

"While President Woodruff knew the work would continue to be perfected over time, he also knew that families are central to God’s plan for His children and needed to be connected for eternity through sealing ordinances that take place in the temple,” Mark Woodruff said.

"Mark Woodruff concluded with this teaching from his ancestor: “The glory of the whole matter is, that when we get through, we are going to have our families with us … in the morning of the Resurrection, in the family organization of the celestial world, to dwell forever and forever."
