Member Spotlight:
John Grafft | Local Compass Realtor
This week’s Member Spotlight is John Grafft, Local Compass Realtor. Read more about how John’s Compass Realtor career began, and what sets him apart in our interview below.

Tell us a little about John Grafft, Local Compass Realtor.
I’ve helped 3 different generations of the same family buy, sell, and rent real estate. Then they referred me to their friends. Over the past 5 years they’ve been responsible for 17 referrals. I use trust, care, and empathy to help my clients with all things real estate. In 2019 I joined Compass in order to provide global reach with world class representation and tools to my clients. Coupled with property descriptions that convert, studio grade photography, curated videos, and engaging 3D floor plans I offer creative marketing that is always bespoke to the property.

Multi-Chamber Networking Opportunity
Who doesn’t love a team up? The OTMRA is partnering with the Andersonville, Ravenswood and Uptown chambers to present an afternoon of cross-town networking! This is an excellent opportunity to develop business relationships as we deepen the connection between our communities.

We’ll kick off the afternoon with updates from the presenting chambers and spotlight guests. Then, we’ll split into a series of breakout rooms where attendees will change up every ten minutes or so. This format has been useful for fostering introductions and stimulating conversation!

Members from all four neighborhoods are encouraged to join us! We’re looking forward to creating a fun, light, no-pressure environment for making valuable new connections.

The event begins at 2pm Thursday, April 8, 2021. There is no cost to attend. Register today to reserve your spot!

Additionally, please reach out to Rachel Rubinson ([email protected]) with any questions.

Old Town Neighborhood Cleanup
Saturday, April 24 at 10AM
Join the OTMRA, Lincoln Park Community Services, Declan's Irish Pub, and Orso's Italian Restaurant for a morning of making Old Town look as beautiful as possible.

After the cleanup, we'll walk over to Orso's for lunch! At Orso's, cleanup participants can choose one of three free entrees: either Bruschetta Panini with french fries, Penne Vodka, or Caesar Salad with Chicken.
Wells Street Corridor Survey
Share your vision for Wells Street! Old Town is one of the Chicago’s most recognizable and unique neighborhoods, and the Wells Street Plan aims to build off of that and beyond looking into the future. In order to get there, we need to hear your thoughts.

Wells Street Corridor Plan will focus on business attraction, improvements to the built environment, corridor branding and placemaking, and safety, among other topics. Click on the link below and share your thoughts!

Old Town Neighborhood Foundation
The Old Town Neighborhood Foundation (OTNF) is a 501c3 non-profit that was created to help finance projects in the neighborhood that enhance the quality-of-life in Old Town. Presently, the OTNF is focused on community enhancement projects that will bring additional open space to Old Town.
This includes a re-design of Burton Place Park and a new park on North Orleans Street.
