What's New in Sedona, AZ
Travel Trade News: Fall 2019

|
Happy Fall, Industry Friends!
Sedona’s stunningly beautiful Red Rock formations, mild climate, abundant sunshine, clean air, small-town charm, and welcoming attitude has attracted nature lovers, artists and spiritual seekers for decades. Situated at the mouth of spectacular Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona is, in the words of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council, “…equal or superior to many national parks.” As we shared with you in the summer, in order to
Keeping Sedona
the most beautiful place on Earth,
Sedona's Sustainable Tourism Plan
(STP) was born.
Now, we are going to welcome our visitors to be "temporary Sedona locals." Please help us nurture and protect Sedona by encouraging your clients to take a
Sedona Cares Pledge
.
- The rocks are red and the natural quiet of Sedona is golden.
- I'll be mindful of Sedona's arid environment by minimizing water and energy use.
- I'll make my own memories, but not my own trails.
- I won't risk life or limb (human or sapling) for more likes.
- I'll be ready for rapid changes in weather and random episodes of magic.
- I'll Leave No Trace and pack out all my trash.
- I will discover art in Sedona's galleries, rather than defacing nature's art.
- If I can't find a parking spot, I will not invent my own.
- I'll be caring wherever I go, because that's the Sedona way.
We look forward to welcoming you and your clients to Sedona, the most beautiful place on Earth, and welcome your cooperation in
Keeping Sedona
the most beautiful place on Earth!
