We want to share with all of you the exciting events that will be happening in the Vocations Office in the next few weeks and months.

Adopt a Seminarian during Lent
Exploring Priesthood Weekend at Mundelein Seminary - March 12-14, 2021 (Men Junior in College and older)
Come and See Women's Discernment Retreat - St. Francis Convent, Alton - March 5-7, 2021
Jeremiah Day - April 17, 2021 (Young Men in grades 7-10)

Adopt a Seminarian

This is an opportunity for your students, individuals or families to adopt a seminarian, a man who is studying to be a diocesan priest, or a candidate, a woman preparing to be a sister or a man preparing to be a religious brother or priest, and encourage them on their journey by writing letters. Your encouragement would be greatly appreciated by the men and women in formation.

Exploring Priesthood Weekend

Exploring Priesthood Weekend

This weekend is an "open house" to give men Junior in College and older an opportunity to learn about Mundelein Seminary and to hear about the priesthood. There is no fee for the weekend.

Most men who participate find it very helpful in their consideration of what God is calling them to. In addition, it gives good insight into the components of seminary life today and a vision of what priesthood can mean. There will be priests and seminarians who will share their stories and give you the opportunity to ask questions.

Exploring Priesthood Weekends are held at Mundelein Seminary, 1000 East Maple Avenue, Mundelein, Illinois, 60060. The Seminary is located about 40 miles north of downtown Chicago and easily accessible by car or train. Transportation is available to and from O'Hare Airport by request.

Schedule for the Day

Boys, grades 7 - 10, enjoy a day with the Joliet seminarians at Mundelein Seminary.

They will enjoy a day of activities that include a tour of the seminary, a talk about hearing God's call, lunch, Mass and will play sports with the seminarians.
