What's going on at the Library...
Our eMagazine Collection is Now on Overdrive/Libby!
Our eMagazine collection has recently moved from the RBDigital app to the Libby/Overdrive app! Patrons now have access to over 3,200 magazines, including popular titles, such as Men’s Health, Country Living, Harper’s Bazaar, and Field & Stream! Magazines can be accessed, anytime, anywhere, for free, with never any holds or wait times!
Introducing... Tutor.com!
STUDENTS AND JOBSEEKERS: Do you need help with homework, upcoming exams, or want to improve your grades? Looking for job interview or resume tips?
With Tutor.com, cardholders from any Ulster County library can receive on-demand, one-on-one tutoring in numerous subjects, including algebra, calculus, chemistry, biology, history, reading comprehension, test prep for AP exams, the SAT, ACT, and so much more! Tutor.com also provides resources for adults, including resume and cover letter help, interview prep, Microsoft Office tutorials, and citizenship test review.
Need to write a paper, conduct research, or draft a resume? You can now borrow Chromebook and WiFi hotspot bundles from the Library, to easily accomplish this work from home or on-the-go. Print jobs can be sent to the Library using Princh, our remote printing service.

Shredder Truck Event
Marlboro Library Side Parking Lot
Friday, April 2, 9-11:00 a.m.
The shredder truck returns to the Library! Bring down your old documents to the Library to have them destroyed safely in seconds.

This event is rain or shine, first-come, first-served, with a three bag/box limit per person. The shredder truck will be parked in the Library side parking lot.
To ensure social distancing, when arriving, please park in our side lot and place any bags/boxes next to your car. Staff will then bring them to the shredder truck. Please no early birds to allow us to safely set up and allow for the shredder truck to get positioned in our parking lot! 
Attendees must wear a mask when on Library property and adhere to social distancing guidelines.

Build Your Business Series
Wednesdays in April at 7:00 p.m.
Program in partnership with the Ulster County Library Association.
Series hosted by the Gardiner Library.
Join us and other Ulster County Libraries for this four-part virtual series that will cover topics to help both you and your business succeed. Each week, a guest speaker will present on a different topic. Registration is required. You can register for all four workshops or just those that interest you! 
Parkinson's 101
What You and Your Family Should Know
Presented by Katherine Amodeo, MD & the Parkinson’s Disease Foundation
Saturday, April 10, 10:30-11:30 a.m.
This virtual program will provide a basic overview of Parkinson’s Disease and is for anyone who wants to learn more. This program will cover what Parkinson’s Disease is, what causes it, common symptoms, treatments, and strategies for managing symptoms. Attendees will also have time to ask any questions at the end.

Medicare 101 Webinar
Saturday, April 17, 10:00 a.m.
Are you currently enrolled in Medicare? Will you be turning 65 over the next year or two?

Learn about eligibility, how and when to enroll, when you can make changes, and the insurance options available to you.

This program will review and compare what services are covered/not covered under Medicare Parts A, B, C and D, and more!

Recycle Right!
Thursday, April 22, 3:30 p.m.
Program in partnership with the Ulster County Library Association.
Hosted by the Highland Public Library. 
Why can't ALL plastics be recycled? What does the chasing arrows symbol really mean? Should you leave the bottle cap on or off? Is it ok to bag my recyclables? This virtual class will de-mystify recycling and help you avoid being a wishful recycler! 

Join the Ulster County Resource Recovery Agency (UCRRA) Recycling Outreach Team for a virtual presentation to have these questions and many more answered.

Join us on Zoom on the fourth Tuesday of each month to chat about our book pick of the month. All books will be available via our digital book streaming platform, Hoopla, or as hard copy books from the Library. The April book selection is White Rose by Kip Wilson.
Remote Readers Book Club

For ages 9–12

Join us for a monthly book discussion with your friends on Zoom! Physical books can be picked up at the Library, or digital versions can be found on Hoopla. The April book selection is El Deafo by Cece Bell.

Check out the newest addition to our item lending collection, a light panel! This toddler tech toy adds a sensory element to any table-top activity. Use it for counting, sorting, matching games and more. Borrow it, or any of our other kids’ toys and games, today!
Children's Library Appointments
The children's section is available to browse during regular hours, or families can make an appointment with Ms. Taylor.
An appointment is not required unless you want to be sure the children’s librarian is available for assistance, or if you want to ensure entry at a specific time, as we only allow one family in the children’s area at a time.
