A Word from Professor Tri-Tech

From the desk of Professor Tri-Tech: New Years Resolutions
Is it really the end of 2018? That means v12 has been out nearly an entire year already! AIMsi was awesome before, but it's amazing to see just how much more businesses are accomplishing with the new version than ever before, thanks to it's flexibility and customizable menus alone. These two features alone make the program much more accessible to a wider range of users, including those who have never been comfortable around computers.

With this in mind, I've been getting a head start on my New Years resolutions for 2019. You might have already attended the first rounds of our new bi-weekly webinars; they've been a huge success and very well received, and you can expect to see the series to continue for a very long time. Stay tuned to our social media outlets, they're the fastest way to get the latest news about our releases and scheduled events. I'll be working very closely with our directors to make sure you get timely updates.

It's also not a bad time to think about getting a head start on spring cleaning: it's not just for households anymore! Spend some time going through your computer and desktop, see what is on your device that is either a distraction from accomplishing your daily tasks and what is old and outdated and in need of updating or removal. Place files from your desktop you haven't opened in awhile in an archival folder. You can still access them if necessary but I find that having just the files I need on my desktop helps me focus.
Happy holidays from myself and all the Tri-Tech staff!
Margie's Web Tip EXTRA EXTRA Read All About It!
I have just had a sneak peek of some of the changes coming to AIMsistorefront in the new year (late January) and I think you will love them (I do). What do you have to look forward to? Well, as an admin you can expect to see in-line editing of topics and prompts directly from the front end of the site; just click the edit pencil, change the text, and save! No longer do you need to search for a prompt in Content > Manage Prompts. The same goes for topics! Behind the scenes, output caching will help the homepage, categories, product, and manufacturer pages load even faster. There will be enhancements to online rentals as well. I can't fit everything here. Our customers really are the best, with great ideas. We will continue to listen and make improvements throughout the year. Thank you and have a very happy New Year!
Employee Spotlight - Meet Tyler Heim

Tyler is a Software Developer for Tri-Tech. According to Tyler, "One of the first things I noticed about Tri-Tech was the work environment. Almost instantly, co-workers and bosses felt like family. Because of this, I can comfortably come in to work with the intention of constantly improving our software, knowing that Tri-Tech will be there to support and offer insight as needed. The opportunity to contribute to the development of the AIMsi Point of Sale software has been a dream come true!" This environment allows Tyler to offer ideas for innovation to the rest of the hard working development team to come up with great solutions that any business can benefit from.

Tyler has an amazing wife named Jessica and a bulldog mix named Tech (he is a good boy). When he's not coding up a storm at work, he enjoy walks with his dog, watching the sunset, helping his wife with projects around the house, working out, the occasional video game, and watching football and hockey with his family. His favorite movie is The Crow with Brandon Lee.
