Hey Neighbors,
I’ve been spending time at home sheltering in place. I’m keeping local and walking around the neighborhood and seeing us all doing our part with the social distancing. Good job everyone.
My walks are taking me through the woods of Ira B. Melton Park. You should check it out. A lot of good work is being done to improve the trails and clear the underbrush by the Friends of Ira B. Melton Park. I’m happy to say that the CHCA Board unanimously approved an improvement grant request to support their work. You can walk the boardwalk that was installed last year as Dean Sprinkle’s Eagle Scout project. Great stuff.
There’s a lot of good information posted on our neighborhood
website
and Facebook page from our neighbors in Public Health. Also a lot of uplifting messages about our surrounding community. I encourage everyone to visit the sites often. Post to the Facebook page and keep the attitudes positive, not only during this time but all the time.
I’m sorry that our planned Spring Party is postponed. Keep a lookout for notification of the rescheduled time, most probably towards the end of the summer.
Keep in touch with your neighbors, make sure everyone is okay. Let’s be careful out there.
