This Saturday, we gather to celebrate the Ordination of Vocational Deacons, marking a moment of profound commitment and service to our faith community. Join us at the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine at 10:30 am for this special occasion, where we will witness the commissioning of new deacons dedicated to serving the needs of others with humility and grace, after years and perhaps a lifetime of discernment.
This ordination reminds us of the diverse ways in which we are called to serve. Vocational deacons, with their deep commitment to prayer and action, reflect the beauty of God's love in service to the Church and the world.
In this Year of Purpose, we celebrate their work and dedication, which embodies the spirit of service and sacrifice for the good of our community. Their commitment to prayer, compassion, and outreach strengthens the very fabric of our shared life. Through their example, we are reminded of the vital role each person plays in building up the Church, fostering renewal, and deepening our connections with one another. United in purpose, we continue to support and uplift each other as we respond to our collective calling.
