Every year we host 2 events in partnership with BestCompaniesAZ, and I'm thrilled to announce that event will be on Thursday in Scottsdale. BestCompaniesAZ is a firm dedicated to identifying, developing and promoting great places to work in Arizona.
What does it take to find a great company?
You've probably asked yourself that question several times a week. You want to land a great position, but for that position to qualify for greatness, it really needs to be a job with an exemplary company, too. Let's face it-good positions usually are not located at bad companies.
Kevin Dumcum, a workforce developer, career manager, employment specialist and community outreach coordinator, will present "Getting Hired by the Best" on Thursday, May 14, in Scottsdale. Kevin brings his networking experience to tell you how to connect with employers across all industries and occupational types to learn about companies' hiring and staffing needs.
We will have four Award Winning Best Companies to Work for in Arizona with us on Thursday: USAA, Sayra Nevarez, Talent Acquisition Manager; ClearCall Solutions, Jordyn Davis, Director of Talent Acquisition; Charles Schwab, Erika Villicana, Talent Sourcing Advisor, and Orion Health, Heather Kitsko, Recruitment Business Partner.
Don't forget to meet with volunteers from Career Connectors, too. They will sharpen up your resume and LinkedIn profiles, or shoot a professional photo of you for your LinkedIn profile. Career coaches will also be on hand to offer encouragement and support.
