Meet your NEW Solon Chamber President & CEO, Mary Sullivan! |
|
Dear Solon Chamber of Commerce Members and Friends,
Just a quick note to advise you that Mary Sullivan has accepted our offer to be the next President & CEO of the Solon Chamber of Commerce.
Mary emerged as our top choice after vetting of over 70 candidates and holding 2 rounds of interviews over the past 6 weeks.
She will start on Tuesday September 6th, but if you’d like to meet Mary before then, she will be spending some time with us at the Chamber Golf outing on Monday, 8/22 at Signature of Solon.
This begins an exciting new chapter for the Solon Chamber under Mary’s leadership.
I hope you have the opportunity to meet Mary and explore ways we can continue the momentum built over the past 5 years by her predecessor, Tom Bennett, whose last day with the Chamber is September 30th.

Blood Donors Needed!

One out of 365 African Americans has Sickle Cell disease, often requiring multiple blood transfusions. It is essential that the blood received by Sickle Cell patients be the most compatible match possible, from someone of the same race. 13% of the U.S. population is Black, but less than 3% of Red Cross blood donors self-identify as African American. You don’t need to know your blood types to donate, as the Red Cross tests all blood donations.
