2019 Associational Missions
Strategist Report

I want you to join me as we seek to Advance the Gospel! The Apostle Paul, although, writing from prison and chains, continued to “advance the Gospel.” As we approach a new decade of ministry, may God use us as His instruments of grace to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ across the street to every neighborhood and people group in our geography and literally around the world.
This report will describe out intentions and plans to advance the Gospel and accomplish the mission!
On a personal note, I am grateful for the opportunity of serving as your Missions Strategist for the past 24 years. These have been the most rewarding days of my ministry! Our staff serves the greatest churches and leaders anywhere!

Passion for Evangelism was Ingited at the
2019 SMBAC Annual Meeting

Peace Baptist Church Praise Team kicked off the opening plenary session of the "Ignite Your Passion for Evangelism" 180th Annual Meeting of the Stone Mountain Baptist Association.

Pastor Tyrone Barnette delivered an amazing word at the Annual Meeting! “The Miracle of Opening Stingy Hearts” Mark 6:30-44. Barnett quoted " The disciples discovered they had more than they thought! Jesus said go and get bread to feed the multitudes and they came back with bread and fish. When you do what God says, there is always an AND!”

Grateful to our Spanish speaking friends that want to Ignite a movement to reach Spanish speakers in our communities with the Gospel!

New Work Foundation Grants
On May 30, 2019 the New Work Foundation trustees approved a two-year, $24,000 grant for partial funding for a new Church Planting Catalyst (CPC) for the SMBAC. Larry Black started as the Association's CPC in June 2019. He comes to our area after serving many years in church planting roles, most recently in Virginia. He will be focusing primarily on church planting across our area. The trustees were excited to be a part of providing resources to support such a highly qualified leader on the Association's staff to help facilitate starting new churches.
On June 18, 2019, the Executive Committee approved a $15,000 grant for Reach the Nations Church. The grant will assist the church with the cost of purchasing a van and insurance. The van is critical for the church since their primary ministry is to immigrant families. These families most often need transportation so the can participate in church activities. The van can also be used t assist in the church's ministry to immigrants.
The trustees of the New Work Foundation are appreciative for the financial support from individuals and Associational churches. With your support, we will continue "Resourcing New Churches for Healthy Beginnings!"
