What's Next and What Just Happened!!
Great Gospel Music is coming to the Music Factory just a week from this Friday on July 12th!
Darnell Davis is a nationally known Gospel artist.
Named one of Essence Magazine’s “Top 15 Gospel Artists to watch for in 2014,” Darnell Davis is a gospel performer, keyboardist, songwriter and producer who was signed to the RCA Inspiration Label. Davis, a Grammy Award nominee and Stellar Award winner from Minneapolis, founded The Remnant in 2004. The name “Remnant” comes from the Scripture, Jeremiah 23:3. “I had a vision for this group,” he says. “I woke up with the word, ‘remnant.’ I started researching what the word meant. Scripture essentially says, I will gather the remnant from where the pastures have scattered them.” Their fourth project garnered a 2014 Dove Award nomination for Traditional Gospel Album along with a 2015 Stellar Award nomination for Contemporary Choir of The Year. To be recognized by their peers and colleagues in their industry, Darnell Davis and The Remnant continue in their drive to revive and inspire people of varied cultures and backgrounds through song.

One part of the mission of having a concert series at the Music Factory is to continue our Heart of the City Ministries' mission to build bridges between Christians across racial/ethnic lines with music. When you come out and support Christian artists of diverse styles and backgrounds, you will not only get to enjoy and be blessed by great music, you will also be building a bridge and encouraging those artists as well! DON'T MISS THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY!

Tickets are just $20.00 in advance and $25.00 at the door. Click the link below to order your tickets now!
Pine Ridge and Rosebud Reservation Trip Follow up
Two weeks ago, six of our singers hopped in a rental van and drove to the Rosebud and Pine Ridge Reservations in South Dakota. What a great team and what a great week! We held 5 concerts in two different Reservation Jails and saw almost 30 individuals pray to receive Jesus as their Savior in those jails!! We also had the joy of singing and praying over our Lakota friend, Theresa Eastman's land where the footings have now been laid for the Rosebud House of Prayer for All Nations that she recieved a vision about when she was in jail in 2011!! It was a powerful experience as we stood on that prairie hill praying and singing "We Are One in the Spirit"! We are so excited to see the vision for this House of Prayer finally coming to fruition!

On this trip we also had the chance to perform for and minister to about 50 students from four different states who were at Lakota Hope as part of a youth mission's trip. Once again, we felt God lead us to provide the opportunity for these "churched" kids to truly surrender to Jesus and begin following Him. The response was great with about 25 kids making a decision to surrender their lives to Jesus! One of our singers, Cyrena, also felt that God was telling her that some of the youth were contemplating suicide and she ended up having a powerful intervention in the lives of at least one teenager there!

We had beautiful, unusually green and cool weather and a safe trip there and back! While at Pine Ridge, we were once again housed at the farm of a wonderful retired couple, John and Linda Hotz, who now feel like family to us! Linda made us wonderful meals and we were able to take some beautiful hikes and enjoy their animals in our time off. Our team members were so united and each had such unique gifts to offer at each ministry occasion! It was a joyful, powerful week and was really a delight! Thank you for praying for us and donating to help us pay for this trip!
