These unsolicited words arrived in our inbox a couple weeks after our big spring conference, courtesy of Val in Massachusetts, and captured some of the magic of what went down there. This was our 19th time gathering at St. George’s, believe it or not, and the joy was undiminished.
God has been so generous with opportunities to proclaim the Gospel this year. In January, we published the Beauty issue of our print magazine. In February, our two principal podcasts made the jump to video. In April, we released a gorgeous 10th Anniversary hardcover edition of our celebrated Law & Gospel book, as well as a travel edition of the Daily Grace devotional.
In May, with the help of our new technology guru Robbie Sapunarich, we launched a much-improved version of The Mockingapp, which is now available on Android as well as Apple devices. And then there’s the steady stream of articles, newsletters, podcasts, and social media that you’ve come to expect. Grace abounds.
Looking to the future, the top headline is that, following an international search, we have hired the incredible Belle Tindall-Riley to serve as the new editor-in-chief of The Mockingbird Magazine! Her first issue at the helm should appear this Fall. The fourth season of The Brothers Zahl debuts later this month. The revised edition of Grace in Addiction is on track to drop in September, and we are hosting a conference in Minneapolis on October 2-3rd.
All this plus preparing for our 20th anniversary as an organization next year! Can you stand it??
Of course, none of this would be possible without your support. We set out to raise $610,000 this year and need your help to reach that goal. To that end, you can give via credit card at the button below—all gifts are tax-deductible. We covet your prayers as well.
Gratefully Yours,
The Mockingbird Team
[David Zahl, Todd Brewer, Belle Tindall-Riley, Meaghan Mitts, Deanna Roche, Luke Roland, Will McDavid, Cali Yee, Emily Newton, & Robbie Sapunarich]
p.s. Sign up for automatic monthly giving—or give a one-time gift of more than $600—and we’ll send you an Mbird baseball cap and a subscription to the magazine.
