Please Note: COVID-19 protocols in Ontario have recently changed with the removal of the mask and screenings mandate effective March 21.
Although it is no longer mandatory, Wellspring recommends the continued use of masks while in the centres. The requirement for proof of vaccines remains in effect until further notice.
We will continue to follow health guidelines and will update our COVID-19 protocols as the guidelines change. Remember, if you are feeling unwell, please refrain from visiting a Wellspring centre.
Below are Wellspring programs available in-centre at Wellspring Westerkirk House and Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan House.

Cancer Exercise
Exercise improves both mental and physical well-being following a cancer diagnosis.
Under the supervision of an experienced cancer exercise leader, you will participate in an individual assessment, receive a personalized exercise plan and exercise with other cancer patients at the centre's fitness facility for 1 hour twice a week, for 20 weeks. The focus of the program is to improve flexibility, strength, cardiovascular endurance and overall quality of life. Send an email with your contact information and an Exercise Manager will follow up with you about your individual start time.
Peer Support
Sometimes we need to know that someone is listening, that someone understands what we are going through, and that someone cares. Such support is available through one-on-one conversations with specially-trained Peer Support Volunteers who will help you navigate your cancer journey and provide you with program options best suited to your needs, interests and time.

Specialized peer support for those experiencing myeloma, pancreatic cancer or bladder cancer is also available.

Drop in between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. or book an appointment by sending an email with your contact information to the Centre Manager.
Self-Paced Learning Webinars
We've created a handy resource to help you quickly find and access any of our self-paced learning webinars available through Well on the Web. These webinars are available to help you 24/7 with no registration necessary.

Marion Vaclavik, Legacy Giving Donor
Giving Back to Wellspring, In Life and Beyond

Marion Vaclavik is a devoted Wellspring volunteer, monthly donor and a new planned giving donor. "I was always so impressed by those who could make significant gifts to Wellspring," said Marion. "But then I realized that one doesn't have to have great wealth to contribute and make a difference. So I make monthly gifts through the Roots of Renewal giving program and annual donations when I can, and I've been doing that for the past fifteen years. It's been an easy way for me to give back to an organization I believe in."
