In-Centre Chi Life
Thursdays, 1 - 2 p.m.
Chi Life is an integrative wellness exercise routine that combines warm-ups, Qi Gong, Tai Chi and Meditation to promote good health.
There are benefits to attending in-person:
  • Social interaction enriches the experience and strengthens your support
  • Seeing others in action allows you to make immediate adjustments to improve your own movements
  • You can ask questions and make comments
  • Provides an opportunity to build confidence for out of home activities.

Through an exploration of various processes including guided visualization, therapeutic arts, and mindfulness, this program will help you become more attuned to your authentic self.
In this two-part workshop you will learn various aspects of Metta and practice meditation techniques that will help connect us to loved ones, friends and neighbours.
Learn effective routines and practices to help you sleep longer and more deeply.
Be guided in a tension-reducing practice that helps synchronize the mind and body.
Painting is a creative process designed to awaken a different energy within you. It can be therapeutic and healing when you have the freedom to try this in a small-group open-studio format.
Explore how to appreciate, embrace and celebrate, the beauty in the imperfect - in our art, and in ourselves.
Learn simple meditation techniques and breathing practices to help reduce anxiety and leave you feeling revitalized. 
Learn techniques to increase your ability to concentrate and calm your mind.
This session will provide an overview of what you should consider from a financial planning perspective following a cancer diagnosis. Topics will include wills and powers of attorney, insurance, personal assets and pensions. Facilitated by Richard Dri, B.Comm, CFP, CIM, a Senior Wealth Advisor, Portfolio Manager, Scotia Wealth Management.
Returning to Work
Wednesday, June 1 - July 6, 1 - 3 p.m. ET
This six-week educational and support program will help you achieve a successful and sustained return to work following an absence because of cancer. Under the leadership of a professional program leader you will discuss topics such as readiness to work, need for accommodation by your employer, treatment side-effects that may impact job performance, and how to get ready for the return.
Cancer Related Fatigue
Mondays, June 6 - 27, 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. ET
Cancer Related Fatigue (CRF) is a distressful side effects of cancer and cancer-related treatments. It is usually is described as a persistent sense of physical, emotional, and cognitive tiredness that is not related to activity and doesn’t necessarily go away after rest. This four-part series will provide suggestions, strategies and resources to help manage, and minimizing the impact of CRF.
Family Fun BBQ Party
We are so happy to be able to bring back our in-person family fun events. If your family has children that have been been impacted by cancer, you are welcome to join us for fun and games, crafts and activities at our Welcome Back BBQ event at Birmingham Gilgan House on Saturday, May 28 from 12 - 3 p.m.
Please RSVP and be sure to let us know the names and ages of the children attending.

HOPE Volleyball Tournament: Players and Volunteers Needed
Mark your calendars! HOPE Volleyball Toronto is officially back in action this year, in partnership with Wellspring! Join us for the 32nd annual event on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the outdoor sand courts at Ballsports Polson Pier. Volunteers and volleyball players are encouraged to register for this fun day.
HOPE (Helping Other People Everywhere) is a charity that raises awareness and funds for other local charities, and this year, your support of the event will benefit Wellspring as well as Lupus Ontario.
Constantine Yorkville Run
Registration is now open for this year's Constantine Yorkville Run to be held on Sunday, September 11, 2022. This is a premiere 5K in-person and virtual event that supports Toronto charities. Sign up now to support Wellspring.

Calling all Golf Enthusiasts
This year's Nine, Wine and Dine Golf Tournament will be held on September 13th at Oakville Golf Club. It is always a day of incredible fun, golf, prizes and surprises, benefiting Wellspring Birmingham Gilgan House in Oakville.

We are looking for volunteers to serve on the planning committee to help with the silent and live auctions - always the event's highlight.
