Best Week Ever
DEP and the downtown businesses are definitely having the Best Week Ever with being able to have their Sippin' Into Springtime event this weekend. Events are slowly starting to make a comeback which will help our nonprofits that have been lacking on doing fundraisers.
Coming Soon
In a Facebook announcement, the Pasalich's had a soft opening of their new Air B&B located downtown on Broadway, just west of the Hall of Waters! Here's a sneak peek of the loft that you can rent on their website at other-trails.com!

They also announced that they will be putting a coffeeshop in the lower level of the building! To the right is a sneak peek of the bedroom in the loft!

I asked and citizens responded with the following Word on the Street:

• Easter Egg Hunt at ES Baptist Church, 1500 Rosalea St., Sat, April 3rd at 2pm
• Request to not put cans in the back of your truck due to litter
• Scissors & Shears Salon is now open Mon-Fri, 9-5 & Sat, 10-4
• ESHS and ESMS students are now attending school 4 days a week
• Wildflowers are popping up in Isley Park Woods, our Missouri Natural Area

Safe Streets and Sidewalks
The initial survey for the Excelsior Springs Safe Streets & Sidewalk Plan received fantastic response. The City heard you, and now they need our feedback as they move forward!

Ray and Clay Municipal Election Ballots

On Tuesday, April 6th, Ray and Clay Counties will hold Municipal Elections.

The only issue on the Excelsior Springs ballot is the City Council race. There are four candidates running for two positions: Stephen Spear, Sonya Morgan, Sebrena T. Williams, and Brad Eales. Candidate survey responses were published in this week's edition of The Standard and will be included in next week's newsletter.

Weekly Updates from the City Manager
For some time Molly McGovern, our City Manager, has been providing updates through a weekly newsletter!

This week's issue mentions
City employee achievements, upcoming agendas, and project updates.
