We had eight units that sold more than $10,000.00 in popcorn and nuts this year. All eight units utilized
both the Show & Sell and Take Order methods and five units included online sales. Ideas for success
from some of the top units:
Set up Show & Sell places well in advance of the sale and do as many as you can early in the sale.
Don’t forget Wagon Draggin’ in neighborhoods. Take your den out during a den meeting.
Spread the excitement through your unit. Challenge the Scouts.

Thank you to the 37 units who participated in the Show & Sell Survey!
We saw a lot of positive comments – some units trying new places like a local craft show, a 9/11 event, even a campground. Some units are already making contacts for next year with local farmer’s markets and places where
customers can pick their own produce. Great out of the box thinking!
One unit reported recruiting a new Scout during a Show & Sell booth. Another unit reported recruiting
two new Scouts during Wagon Draggin’. In both instances, it was the conversation with the Scouts that
convinced the families that Scouting was worthwhile. Great job!
Two units earned free popcorn for their participation in the survey. Congratulations!
Iron Forge District – Troop 115 - Lesley Bashore
Susquehanna District – Pack 125 - Erin Brossman
As part of the Show & Sell survey, we asked units to tell us where they were selling their product. We
are recognizing 16 of the 42 locations for their support of Scouting by gifting them Tasting Kits with a
Thank You letter. We contacted the unit kernels who used those locations to give them the opportunity to personally deliver the thank you to the business.

Even though the sale is officially finished, your unit can still earn extra money through Consignment Sales. Contact Robin Kotzmoyer and she will gather the product for you. You pick up the product, sell the
product, then return the following Monday or Tuesday with any unsold product and pay for what was
sold (less 34% commission). Product will include: popping corn, salted peanuts, and honey roasted
peanuts.
We have product for sale in the council store. Some items are in very limited quantities.
Popcorn available – Popping Corn, Butter Microwave, Kettle Corn Microwave, Jalapeno Cheddar, and
Cheddar. We are offering cases of Popping Corn for $40.00 (retail = $80.00).
Nuts available – Salted Peanuts, Honey Roasted Peanuts, Whit’s Party Mix, Honey Cinnamon Almonds,
and Dark Chocolate Peanut Clusters. We are offering cases of Salted Peanuts and Honey Roasted
Peanuts for $150.00 (Retail = $180.00).
