Hello Arden Residents,

Tomorrow is the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations' World Food Day! World Food Day is a day dedicated to raising awareness about food security, sustainable agriculture, and ending hunger around the world.

Here at Arden, we are very fortunate to have a local farm right in our backyard! Having direct access to fresh, seasonal fruits and vegetables not only supports a healthy diet, but it also helps create a more sustainable agrifood system.

Getting involved and spreading awareness is easy and fun for all ages:

FAO's World Food Day Poster Contest (Ages 5–19): Young artists can showcase their creativity by submitting original artwork interpreting their meaning of "Innovate today. Nourish tomorrow." The submission deadline is Friday, 11/6/26.

FAO's Social Media Spotlight: Join the global movement online by sharing photos of some delicious farm-fresh meals, sustainable food practices, and more! Be sure to tag @FAO and use #WorldFoodDay to help spread the word.

We at Arden want to bring the community together to celebrate our farm, support sustainable agriculture, and make a difference! We encourage you to support the farm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at the Farm Fall Festival.
