GIRO to support the Red Cross
Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal
After a two-year hiatus, our cycling fundraiser, Giro will return to the Veneto Centre on Sunday, May 29, 2022. Villa Charities will always remain committed to raising funds in support of our mission to provide funding for senior care, cultural programming, youth services, education, capital needs and scholarships, but this year we feel it’s our social responsibility to help support the humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.

We ask you to ride with us on May 29, 2022 and raise funds for the Canadian Red Cross. Villa Charities will donate funds raised to the Canadian Red Cross’ Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal. The Government of Canada will match every donation to the Canadian Red Cross up to a maximum of $30 million (CAD). Donations will support those impacted by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

The Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal will support the efforts of the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement to respond to the humanitarian needs in Ukraine and surrounding countries. Donated funds will allow the Red Cross to support preparedness, immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long-term recovery, resiliency, and other critical humanitarian activities as needs arise, both in Ukraine and surrounding countries, including support to populations that have been displaced.

Help us support our fellow world citizens by registering today for Giro and riding with us on May 29, 2022.
Sign up online today! 50% off registration ends March 20th.
Mandatory fundraising minimum of $300 per rider.
