NEW QUEEN'S GLOBAL SUMMER PROGRAM

The Faculty of Arts and Science is pleased to announce that it is offering a new Queen’s Global Summer (QGS) program in July and August 2022. It is a multi-disciplinary project that will offer valuable academic experiences on global sustainable development goals to undergraduate and graduate students, as well as faculty, staff, and community members during the summer term on Queen’s campus. Undergraduate students can register for some courses now, and several other for-credit and non-credit learning opportunities will be associated with the program and available for registration by students and community members in the winter.

APPLICATION TO GRADUATE

The application to graduate in SOLUS for Spring 2022 will open on Wednesday, December 1. Students should select Winter 2022 from the dropdown menu. If you apply to graduate on or before December 15, your application will be reviewed prior to the deadline to add Winter term courses. Visit the Convocation and Graduating webpage for information.

Not sure if you've met all your degree requirements? We encourage you to view your academic advisement report in SOLUS Student Centre using the My Academics link, then click View my advisement report. If you have any questions about your requirements, you can reach out to the Degree Coordinator team at asc.degree@queensu.ca or your home department.
QUEEN'S CAREER APPRENTICESHIP: KINGSTON INFORMATION SESSIONS

Launch your career with a full-time paid position after graduation with Queen’s Career Apprenticeship: Kingston (QCA:K). Join a program information webinar on Tuesday, November 23 at 7 pm to hear from one of our recent grads, learn all about the QCA:K program, and have your questions answered.

Please note, the QCA:K program is only available to those graduating from the Arts, Social Sciences, or Humanities.
DEAN'S CHANGEMAKER CHALLENGE PITCH COMPETITION

Dean Barbara Crow has once again challenged students to make meaningful changes within Arts and Science through ASCX 200 and ASC 300 courses. Join us online for the first Dean’s Changemaker Challenge Pitch Competition of the 2021-22 academic year on Wednesday, November 24 from 2:30 pm to 5:30pm.

At this competitive event, student teams will pitch their ventures to a panel of alumni judges who will award seed funding for the best venture(s). The audience can vote for their favourite pitch to help inform the judge’s final decision. You can learn more about the ventures competing on the Dean’s Changemaker Challenge webpage.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT BURSARY

The International Student Bursary is designed to enhance the financial accessibility of student life for undergraduate international students who are members of the Alma Mater Society. The bursary supports any needs of student life that an international student may struggle to meet due to financial hardship. The deadline for applications is Friday, November 19, and more information can be found on the AMS International Student Bursary webpage.
