2025 Oceanside Independence Parade
June 28, Downtown Oceanside
Experience the patriotic fervor of "Stars and Stripes by the Sea"! The Oceanside Independence Parade begins at 10 a.m. at North Coast Highway and Wisconsin Avenue, proceeding north on Historic Coast Highway to Civic Center Drive. Led by the impressive US Marine Corps and Naval Bands, this grand display features over 100 entries celebrating our heritage – from Hometown Heroes and military units to dedicated community groups and classic American cars! Don't miss your chance to participate; parade applications are open until June 6th!

Downtown Clean & Safe Initiative
Effective Jan 1, Downtown Oceanside
The Downtown Oceanside Property and Business Improvement District (DTOPBID) is a benefit assessment district created by local property owners to fund improvements, maintenance, and activities that provide direct benefits to downtown parcels. Proven successful in other cities, DTOPBID aims to increase sales, property values, and attract new tenants. The renewed district has taken effect on January 1, 2025, expanding to 397 parcels and continuing clean and safe services for another 10 years. Downtown Ambassador Program
May 27-Aug 30, Downtown Oceanside
Become a Downtown Oceanside Ambassador! We need enthusiastic individuals to staff the information booth on Pier View Way (west side of the pedestrian underpass). You'll welcome visitors and locals, helping them explore the best of Downtown by directing them to dining, transit, and attractions, sharing event highlights, and providing insights on what's new and coming. The booth operates Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
MainStreet Oceanside will be holding two training sessions on the program May 14th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. or May 21st from 1 pm to 2 p.m. at the MainStreet Oceanside office.

First Friday Art Walk

Pride by the Beach

Pride by the Beach, a program of the North County LGBTQ Resource Center, has served, empowered, and advocated for North County’s LGBTQI+ community for over a decade. Even through the COVID-19 pandemic, it never stopped—expanding services when they were needed most. As visibility has grown, so has its impact, offering lifesaving programs, youth leadership, and community-building opportunities. In 2025, Pride by the Beach celebrates 18 years of resilience and joy. Join us June 7, 12–6 p.m., in downtown Oceanside for a free, family-friendly Pride festival. Let Pride by the Beach be your rainbow after the storm.
