Friendsgiving Potluck at the Chamber

November 14, Oceanside Chamber of Commerce

Oceanside and Carlsbad Young Professionals invite the public to join them on Thursday 14th for a fun night of games, delicious dishes, and quality company. Attendees may register to RSVP online. As customs go at a potluck, attendees are urged to bring a drink or dish to share. You can let them know what you plan to share and what is on the menu through the registration page.

OTC Youth Academy Presents "The Addams Family"

November 16-17, Sunshine Brooks Theater

A comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and every father's nightmare, of meeting the man their daughter loves. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet young man from a respectable family, a man they have never met. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday's "normal" boyfriend and his parents. Curtains open at 7 pm.

World Famous Popovich Comedy Pet Theater

Comedy Pet Theater has been The Original Las Vegas Cat Show since 1998. This theatrical spectacle is not just entertainment; it's a heartfelt mission.

Maker's Arcade: Holiday Pop Up

November 23, Tremont Collective

Don’t miss the Makers Arcade Holiday Pop-up in collaboration with Tremont Collective and Green Cheek Beer Co. in downtown Oceanside from 11 am to 5 pm. This free, family-friendly event will feature over 70 local Makers Arcade vendors. Enjoy live music and get crafty at the Oside Handmade workshop. There’s fun for everyone with unique shopping, food and drink specials, kids' craft areas, and Instagram-worthy photo ops. Giving Trees Toy Drive

November 25, MainStreet Oceanside

MainStreet Oceanside invites you to help make this holiday season bright for children in need by participating in our 11th annual 'Giving Tree Toy Drive'. MSO partnerS with local schools and afterschool programs like Growing Minds and North County Lifeline to gather gifts for kids of all ages enrolled in their programs. Each child decorates their ornament with three gifts they wish for (under $20), which will be displayed on Christmas trees in the MSO office. The public is invited to come and select an ornament and return with one of the gifts listed. Giving trees will be displayed beginning Nov 25; ornaments may be picked up M-Th from 9 am to 4 pm. Oceanside Turkey Trot

November 28, 330 N. Coast Hwy

Come “move your feet before you eat” at the 19th Annual Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk. Be sure to bring the whole family, as there will be races for everyone. The first early race starts at 6:45 am, the Main race at 8:05 am, the Kid’s 1-mile race at 10:00 am, and the Kid’s ½ mile race at 10:25 am. This family-friendly event offers, costume contests, the largest teams competition, live entertainment on the course, digital photos, t-shirts, timing, and finisher medals for all registered participants. This event has raised over $500,000 since 2007 for local schools and non-profits that serve North County.

Farmers and Sunset Markets Closed on Thanksgiving

Be sure to get all your market needs done early this year. The Farmers and Sunset Markets will not be open on Thanksgiving. We want all of our hardworking vendors and employees to have a chance to enjoy the holiday with their loved ones. We will be back the following Thursday to kick off our holiday gift markets happening every Thursday in December. The festivities will commence with the Holiday Tree Lighting on December 5 at the Sunset Market. Lighting will occur at 6:10 pm in front of the Regal Theater. Start your holiday season off right under the warm glow of holiday lights and a visit from Santa!

The Twisted Tinsel Maker's Market at Black Plague Brewing

Valley Arts Festival

November 16, Heritage Park

This annual event is a celebration of Oceanside and its first peoples today known as the San Luis Rey Band of Mission Indians, one of the seven tribes of the Luiseño nation. The Luiseño are an indigenous people of California who inhabited the coastal area of Southern California. This free family-friendly festival, themed “Kíicha Nights, Coyote Dreams© “, will offer an array of activities and vendors. Activities include Native American flute music and drumming, Native American storytelling, interactive dancing demonstrations, basket weaving, interactive community murals, and more! VAF is made possible in part by Prebys Foundation and Title Sponsorship by Visit Oceanside.

Scholastic Surf Series

November 16, Oceanside Harbor South Jetty

The Scholastic Surf Series is a division of the Western Surfing Association specifically dedicated to bringing team surf competitions to High Schools and Middle Schools. The Scholastic series is committed to offering a professionally managed and expertly operated platform for middle and high school surf teams stretching from San Diego to Santa Barbara. This is an all-day completion that will be happening at the Oceanside Harbour Beach South Jetty. Make sure to come support the young surfers in our community!

Turkey Drive and an Old Fashioned Thanksgiving Dinner at Set Free Ministries

In the spirit of giving thanks and gratitude, Set Free Ministries in Oceanside is trying to make sure all members of our community have a nice warm Thanksgiving meal this year. They are holding a Turkey Drive to help ensure families in need have something on the table, while also offering an 'Old Fashioned Thanksgiving Dinner' open to the public at their church on Thanksgiving Day. They aim to make sure everyone has a full belly and will be distributing meals to the homeless in our community. Surf For Life is a global non-profit whose mission is to provide a cross-cultural experience between travelers and communities within the developing world. Public Art Project - Call for Artists

MainStreet Oceanside, through its Design Committee, is accepting applications from qualified artists for the Oceanside Transit Center Pedestrian Tunnel Art Project. This project is through the Art that Excites Program and involves the creation of a large-scale art project that reflects Oceanside’s cultural and environmental character and enhances the customer experience through the tunnel. The tunnel is a critical transit access point and experiences significant foot traffic. This Project is a partnership with North County Transit District (NCTD) and is partially funded by the State of California Clean California Local Grant Program.
