Immersion Trips: Ecuador & Haiti
William James College students and faculty flew to two separate immersion trips on Saturday. Seven students are traveling to Ecuador for five weeks for a clinical/counseling immersion program and Dr. Mari Carmen Bennasar will be in Ecuador for ten days of their trip.

In addition to the immersion program, Dr. Elana Wolkoff will lead a whole day workshop for parents and staff at FASCINARM, a school for children with special needs; and President Nick Covino and Dr. Stan Berman will each present at a two-day conference on July 17-18 at La Junta de Beneficencia.
Four students, along with Dr. Gemima St. Louis and Dr. Jill Bloom, are going to Haiti for a program on promoting Mental Health Literacy and addressing the stigma surrounding mental health. It will be hosted by the Association des Paysans de Vallue (APV) and the group will facilitate workshops, host a summer camp program, and participate in local cultural events.
Stay tuned on social media for updates from the trips!
