10:30 AM Livestreaming from the Sanctuary

Our Sunday Morning Worship Plan
Virginia’s current Covid disciplines allow for us to gather for in-house worship. But we are doing so with particular plans that enable us to partner with the larger community to slow the spread of the virus, and to keep our St. Giles folks safe. Each service is livestreamed too. So whether you are in the church house or at home, we hope you’ll join in!

If you join us at the church, here’s what to expect:

1. Our service is at 10:30 in the sanctuary.

2. We ask anyone with Covid-19 symptoms or recent exposure not to come (but do let us know so that we can pray for you).

3. The nursery is open for the littlest ones; children up to 2nd grade can sit with their parents until dismissed for Kids’ Own Worship.

4. We sit only in every other pew, those marked by ribbons.

5. We wear masks. (We have some masks for those without their own.)

6. Whenever weather allows, outdoors is the preferred place for visiting after worship.

Life Groups Forming for the Weeks Following Easter
With Covid restrictions lightening a bit, and weather improving, we’re launching another round of Life Groups for the weeks between Easter and Pentecost. That’s April 11 through May 23.

What are Life Groups? Ask seasoned disciples what helped form their life with Christ, and almost always you’ll hear about a small group of some sort. Life Groups are our plan for such small groups. There’s something about a small circle of Christian friends that really boosts our growth in Christ.

Jesus thought so. He interacted with great multitudes, but he really “did life” with a dozen. And when we do life with a dozen or so we can count on Jesus adding his life to our group! In fact, that’s why we use “Life Groups” as the name for our small groups. There’s a group here at St. Giles for you to do life with!

If you would like view a list of leaders, times, locations, and topics and also register online, visit our website by clicking here.

Note: Some of the Sunday groups are pausing on the Sundays when we have Heart Song. If you hope to join in that monthly gathering, you can ask the leaders if that is their plan.

Sign-up sheets are available after worship, by clicking the link above, or by calling or writing the church office or the group leaders.
Sunday Morning Classes
Beginning April 11, Ross Anderson and Nathaniel Lyle will teach a series on the kingship of David, from II Samuel, Sunday mornings at 9:00. If you’d like to join the ZOOM class, please email Ross at
Wednesday Night Adult Study Focuses on Acts
During the last round of Wednesday night Bible studies, we were still on strict size restrictions – no more than ten. But now that restriction has been loosened, so we’re encouraging any and all to join us in person for Bible studies, starting this week, April 7, at 6:30, in the sanctuary. During April and May Keith will lead us through Acts 1-4. We’ll also have the studies livestreamed at this link. Come join in!
Women's Tuesday Morning Bible Study
Women's Tuesday morning Bible study continues a new series "Take Courage - A Study of Haggai" by Jennifer Rothschild. We will be meeting via Zoom and in Patterson. Contact Vicki Young at to be added to the email list for Zoom meeting links or if you would like to meet at church.
Church Life
History Room Pictures and Mementos
We are gathering some of our history in the Robins room. Do you have any pictures or mementoes that we might use? It is not a large space, so we won’t be able to post very much. But we want a good selection of events and people from across the decades. If you have any such things, put your name on them (so we can get them back to you), and drop them by the church office. Thanks!
Livestreaming Bible Study and Worship

We are now live-streaming many of our events, including Sunday worship and some of our classes on our YouTube channel. These can also be viewed later at the same YouTube channel. Take advantage of the opportunity to catch up on anything you’ve missed, or to share these ministries with friends who might benefit from them.
