Donate today!

You are the reason the River's Edge Arts Alliance is able to offer high-quality, affordable arts programming in our community. Our mission is to make a positive impact in the community through the arts, but we cannot do it without your support. We believe that our great educational programs and the variety of family-oriented programs enhance the quality of life in this community, making it a better, more interesting place to live. If you agree with us, then we ask you to please contribute to our Annual Appeal. Your support gives us the resources we need to provide the community with the best in artistic programming. This year, it is vital that we receive your donation in August, so that we can launch a strong and innovative Fall Season.

Your donation makes a difference regardless of size, and your gift will have a significant impact on the children and families who live in this area. Donations are 100% tax deductible.

Thank you for supporting the arts in your local community!

Letter from the Executive Director

As the summer draws to a close, so too does my tenure as Executive Director for the River's Edge Arts Alliance.  I am incredibly grateful to all the people who generously gave their time and energy in teaching me the ropes and introducing me to Hudson.  I am particularly grateful to our outstanding staff, interns and volunteers:  Danielle, Diane, Misty, Linda, Anne, Pat, and Brooke.  Thank you for all of your hard work and help!

My time at REAA had its share of challenges and triumphs, and I definitely learned a lot (which I think is a mark of success for any endeavor).  There are many changes ahead for this organization, but I know the one thing that will sustain it, is you.  You, the member, the volunteer, the artist/actor/singer/donor/teacher - the REAA relies on you in order to continue bringing the arts to your community.  I hope that you stay involved, try something new, and never stop creating.

All my best,

- Kat Alix-Gaudreau
Message from the Board of Directors

With the announcement of our ED resigning, the board is using this opportunity to take on a more active role in the day to day activities within the organization. We are committed to maintaining this very important organization and continuing to offer programs to both artists, and audiences alike. Having said that, we are in the midst of a redesign and have therefore had to postpone some of our standard programming offerings - the River's Edge Chorale, Community Band, and Rivers Edge Players.

REAA also has some exciting changes coming as well. The After School Music Lesson Program has been renamed to River's Edge School of Music and we are now including voice and piano lessons, as well as allowing room for future growth. We are no longer offering a Youth Chorus program, but with the voice lessons added in, our hope is to take care of those students in a different way.

If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to reach out to the Board at

Thank you,
River's Edge Arts Alliance Board of Directors

Volunteer Spotlight

The end of the year is a good time to take stock and be grateful for all that our volunteers do.  This year we tracked over 20 volunteers who together gave nearly 300 hours of service to the Arts Alliance.  Over 100 hours were given by regular office volunteers Anne Trodella (57 hours) and Linda DiMare (50.5 hours)!
We are fortunate that local businesses have donated gift cards as small thank you's to any volunteer who has donated 15 hours or more.  We thank them for letting us give a tangible appreciation to our volunteers!
And finally, I am personally grateful to Jennifer Stacy, Linda DiMare and Lori Burton for serving on the volunteer committee this year.  Volunteers can create community by serving the arts-- and I am always happy to meet those who are willing to volunteer for the River's Edge Arts Alliance.  What an extraordinary group of people I have been privileged to meet!
