A newsletter to keep you informed about what's "up with arts."

Letter from the BOD President:
All members and friends,

Last night, I had the opportunity to attend the annual Downtown Holiday Stroll in Hudson.  The weather was perfect and there was a good crowd roaming downtown.  The River's Edge Chorale performed at the Hudson Town Hall venue.  The REAA also had a group called "The Carolers" roaming the streets singing some holiday carols at Marlborough Savings Bank, Town Hall, New City Micro Creamery, and Rail Trail Flatbread company.

I am so grateful to all of the REAA participants and to the audience members that made last night extra special.  This group truly helped us support our mission: "To enrich lives and create community through the arts".

Next week is a busy week for the REAA.  Please read below for details on some events including a Free Community Concert and the second annual Nutcracker Tea.

I hope you all enjoy the holiday season.  This month, the REAA BOD will be busy planning the second half of our season.  If you have any questions or ideas for the second half of our season, please drop us an e-mail at:

2nd Annual Nutcracker Tea

This is a wonderful opportunity to attend a family-friendly version of "The Nutcracker".
The show is a 1-hour narrated production of the show.  After the show, the audience will have the opportunity to meet the dancers and enjoy some special treats.
We are very excited to be partnering with MetroWest ballet for this event.

REP Planning meeting

Over the past several years, the River's Edge Players has put on a Summer Musical.  The REAA BOD would like to explore supporting a musical in the summer of 2016.  If you are a former "Player" or if you are interested in supporting the REP, please come to a planning meeting on Wednesday, January 11th at 7pm in room F101 at Hudson High School to discuss plans for the Spring.

During this meeting, we will discuss budgeting, potential shows, and potential fundraising efforts to help make this happen...
