A newsletter to keep you informed about what's "up with arts."

Letter from the BOD President:
All members and friends,

Can you believe it is already February?  January seemed to just fly by!  We are busy planning some of our summer activities including the Summer Drama Workshop and a Summer Musical for our Adult members.  Please read on for more information.

We also have some wonderful Visual Art opportunities for local artists.  We hope you'll take advantage of some of these opportunities to showcase your artwork!

The Board of Directors would also like you to consider joining the board to help us plan and support the rest of our season and beyond!

If you have any questions, please drop us an e-mail at: bod@upwitharts.org

Program Updates

River's Edge School of Music

We began our second semester this past month!  We have 5 teachers returning this semester and we have over 40 students participating in the program.

The students will be presenting recitals in April.
River's Edge Players

Summer Musical

In January, members of the River's Edge Players came together during two meetings to start planning a Summer Musical.  The group is still working on the details, but we are targeting having the show take place in early August.  Please visit our website for more details later this month...

Summer Drama Workshop

We are excited to announce that Ryan DeFoe will be returning as Program Director for the 2017 Summer Drama Workshop.  Here is a note from Ryan:

Hey Hey!

We're inching our way closer and closer to summer which means SUMMER DRAMA WORKSHOP is on its way!

We had a fantastic time last year and this year's programs will be even better! We're working hard to finalize our show choices and registration will be open by early March. Please check the REAA website and future newsletters for more information, show announcements, and scheduling, coming soon!

Again, we'll have programming for young artists from ages 5-18 and will offer our afternoon theatre-focused workshops every day.

We can't wait to see what talent your kids bring to our stage this year! Check back soon!

Coming Soon...  River's Edge Dance Troupe

Last month, the board reviewed a proposal to add an adult dance program to our program offerings.  We are still in the very early planning stages, but we hope to announce more information on this program over the next few weeks.
