A newsletter to keep you informed about what's "up with arts."

Letter from the BOD President:
Dear Members and Friends,

I'd like to personally invite you to attend Hudson ArtsFest next Saturday, May 5th.  This event is being brought to you by the Hudson Downtown Business Improvement District.  The River's Edge Arts Alliance is one of the event sponsors.

We have two groups performing during the event at the Town Hall venue.  At 12:30, our newest group, Hudson Harmony A Cappella, will present some wonderful A Cappella pieces.  At 1pm, members of the River's Edge Chorale will be singing some pieces as well.

There will also be some kid friendly activities taking place at Main Street Bank venue.  Read on for a listing of all of the events throughout the day.

Our singing groups are also preparing for the Artist Appreciation Concert at Wood Park on June 13.  There is one week left to submit a nominee for the 2018 Artist Appreciation Honoree.

If you are a parent, don't forget to check out the information below on our 30th Annual Summer Drama Workshop program.

Our next Art in the Hall exhibit kicks off on May 10.  We still have openings, but space is limited so register today!  All mediums are accepted.

Warm Regards,
Lisa Schliker -  REAA BOD President

The River's Edge Players

Theater For Young Audiences

The REAA Board of Directors would like to thank everyone who came out for our production of " The King's New Clothes" and " Thumbelina" on April 28 and April 29.    We'd also like to thank the Production staff; Sarah Worrest - Producer, Jennifer Finn - Director, and Justine Goetz - Director

Congratulations also to the cast for their dedication and hard work over the past several weeks.  In addition to being wonderful actors, the cast donated home-made refreshments to sell and gift baskets to raffle off during the shows.

Summer Musical Update:

Sadly, we have not been able to find a venue to perform a summer music that would be financially viable.  Therefore, we have decided to not sponsor a summer musical.
We will look ahead to the fall and winter of 2018 to begin preparing other REP programs including a One Act Play festival in October.
