Join us for a one-hour golf lesson to learn or refine basics such as driving, chipping, and putting followed by a lunch featuring local community leaders. This event is golf lessons, not a traditional golf tournament. Women Take No Bull - On the Green will empower its attendees to do business and make money on the golf course.

Women Take No Bull - On the Green will feature a golf clinic on the range and putting green at Duke Golf Club. The clinic will give attendees an opportunity to learn how to chip, drive, putt, and make money on the green.

After the golf clinic, join us at Cameron Indoor Stadium to hear from local community leaders.

We invite you to join us for the ribbon cutting ceremony of Brightleaf on Main. This event will take place on Thursday, October 19th from 1:30pm - 2:30pm. Don't miss this commemorative celebration of their fifth year in downtown Durham. You'll also have the opportunity to tour and learn more about their unique apartment community.

Durham Mayoral SpeakEasy

NAIOP and the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Black Wall Street, are excited to announce the 2023 Durham Mayoral SpeakEasy.

The event, featuring the final two candidates for Durham’s new mayor, will begin at 5:00pm with networking, followed by a moderated discussion, and a question-and-answer period. During the forum, attendees will hear directly from the candidates on their positions and visions regarding economic development, the Durham business climate, how we continue to make Durham an attractive place for all, and how those business objectives intersect with public policy.

In addition to the live event, recorded streams from the event will be produced.

*Member-only registration is now open. Registration will open for non members based on availability after October 10th.

The First Responders and Community Champions Appreciation is an opportunity to support local Durham restaurants with meal deliveries to our first responders and community champions. First Responders and Community Champions include Durham Fire, Durham Police, Durham Public School Teachers, Court House Employees, Duke Energy Linemen and more.

Public Policy Update from the desk of Bryan Fox, VP of Public Policy

We hope to see many of you at our live Mayoral candidate forum Thursday 5-7 PM in partnership with Black Wall Street and NAIOP, and will push out additional information but early voting starts again Thursday as well. Participatory Budgeting voting is also open until October 31, and Mayor O’Neal’s Bull City Business Summit has been announced for November 16-17. Upcoming meetings we are monitoring include the City Council tonight and Thursday afternoon. As additional issues persist, we will keep you updated but remember that many of our priorities are shared by the US Chamber and NC Chamber at the federal and state level respectively, consider getting involved locally by helping fill a vacancy on City & County Boards & Commissions, and continue to reach out anytime.

Durham Residents Invited to Share Ideas for Community Arts & Culture

Online Surveys in English and Spanish Now Available; Responses to Inform New Joint Cultural Plan

All who live, work, and play in the Bull City are invited to complete an online survey to help develop a new cultural plan for the Durham community.

Online surveys about community arts and culture are now available. Survey responses must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, October 18. This feedback will inform the development of a new five-year Durham City-County Cultural Plan.
