Public Policy Update from the desk of Bryan Fox, VP of Public
Last week the City approved their budget, and last night the County held their final meeting for this fiscal year so many local government leaders are on a short, well-deserved “summer break.” With Mayor O’Neal announcing that she will retire after this accomplished term, and candidate filing opening in July, we look forward to the beginning of political season. As additional issues persist, we will keep you updated but remember that many of our prioritiesare shared by the US Chamber and NC Chamber at the federal and state level respectively, consider getting involved locally by helping fill a vacancy on City & County Boards & Commissions, and continue to reach out anytime.

The 2023 program is geared specifically towards founders building high-growth ventures in cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, with programs and mentorship designed to help founders navigate the rapidly-evolving and challenging startup landscape. Eligible startups must have a product focus or core competency in one or both of these areas.
