August is National Breastfeeding Month, and August 25-31 is Black Breastfeeding Week! Breastfeeding is a key nutrition priority with proven benefits for both infants and mothers. Return to work is the most common interruption of breastfeeding – but early childhood care and education programs with ‘Breastfeeding Friendly Early Care Best Practices’ make it easier for mothers who wish to keep breastfeeding.

The Center for Family Voice at Groundwork Ohio unveiled a new report that examines best practices for putting families at the center of early childhood policy development, with a particular focus on equity. 

A new guide, developed through a partnership between the National Collaborative for Infants and Toddlers and ThinkBabies™, identifies effective messages for increasing the urgency on issues that impact babies, toddlers, and their families.
