Virginia Promise Partnership:
Opportunity for local parents and child care programs
Countless families and child care providers across the state are struggling with scarce resources, sky-high costs, and a widespread lack of access to affordable child care. In an effort to combat this child care crisis, the Virginia Promise Partnership (VPP) is working toward a bold goal of ensuring all families across Virginia have access to affordable childcare by 2030.
In order to achieve this bold goal, we need your help. The VPP is working with Smart Beginnings Greater Richmond and Smart Beginnings initiatives across the Commonwealth to lift up the voices of both parents and child care programs!
The VPP is hosting a virtual one-hour Advocacy 101 Training in April and we are building an initial cohort from Richmond of 10 child care provider advocates and 10 family advocates. In these experiences, members will learn key skills and tactics for becoming a Virginia Promise Advocate.
If you’re interested in representing greater Richmond, please let us know and we’ll provide dates and times for the advocacy training. You can contact Rich Schultz to learn more!
