April 20, 2016

Thanks to all of you who responded to our recent online survey. It was encouraging to receive so many positive comments about our company; at the same time, it was helpful that so many of you took the time to offer more detailed responses and observations to several of the questions. We've already begun to implement some of your ideas and suggestions. It's all part of our goal to provide quality work, on time, at a reasonable price. And...c ongratulations to the winners in our gift card drawing: Abbey Crouse, Dave Plante, Sarah Reed and Ruthann Wilkof. We appreciate everyone's feedback!

It's Our 20th Anniversary!
Subheading

Can you believe it? Twenty years! It's a milestone worth celebrating, especially when you consider how we got our start.

By 1996, the retail music business had seen better days. Mike Boyd, Dave Hess, and their colleagues at Camelot Music -- one of the leading mall-based music retailers in North America -- saw the handwriting on the wall. An industry that had experienced explosive growth for decades was now blowing up in the face of new technologies and a little something called. . .the Internet.

Around that time, a banner Mike had created for the wedding shower of one of his wife's friends was seen by a marketing representative from Belden Village Mall in Canton. It led to a meeting, and then a request for more work, and suddenly a business was born. So Mike struck out on his own, later inviting Dave to join him.

In the 20 years since, our company has grown from a bedroom operation located in Dave's house to a 5,000-square-foot office and production facility in the heart of the Belden Village business district.

We'll be celebrating this milestone during 2016 and want to thank all of our customers, colleagues and vendors who have been a part of our journey! To read more of our story, just click on the link below....

"What's your twenty?"

That's another way of saying, "Where are you?" And it's a great question to ask as we celebrate our "twenty" -- the 20th Anniversary at Creative Source.

We've come a long way in those 20 years. Dave Hess and I started the company with three other associates in 2006. We have previously worked together in the marketing department at Camelot Music...

Two More Reasons to Celebrate in Jackson Township
Subheading

Two major events sponsored by the Jackson Township Rotary Foundation are on the calendar in April and May.

2016 marks the 12th year for Vintage Jackson, which will take place on Thursday, April 28 at Shady Hollow Country Club. Patrons enjoy a sampling of fine wines and delicious food in an elegant setting, along with the opportunity to bid on gift baskets and other items in our silent auction.  Proceeds will benefit the teen center in Jackson Township, which provides a drug-free, fun and exciting safe haven for the children of the community.

The 2016 Field of Honor / Field of Heroes will take place on Memorial Day weekend, May 27-30, at the Jackson Township Safety Center. This inspiring display of more than a thousand U.S. flags helps honor military, first responders and other heroes in our lives. You can place a flag to honor a personal hero, or just visit the display during the weekend to reflect on the sacrifice and commitment so many have made on behalf of our nation and our community. If you haven't visited the Field of Heroes before, make plans to join us on Memorial Day weekend!

Draft Day Experience: A Sign of Bigger Things to Come?
Subheading

We've been actively involved with the planning and promotion of the inaugural Draft Day Experience, which will be a celebration of the 2016 NFL Draft right here in Canton! The event will get underway at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 28 at the McKinley Grand Hotel downtown. NFL Hall of Famers and alumni are scheduled to attend, including Cleveland Browns legends Don Cockroft and Hanford Dixon. There will be music, great food and drink, a memorabilia auction and more, including analysis of the first round picks by the former NFL players in attendance, moderated by Kenny Roda of WHBC.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the Legends Landing, a planned residence for retired NFL players that will be located in the Pro Football Hall of Fame Village. It is hoped that the event itself will be a signal to the NFL that Canton, as the birthplace of the league, would love to one day host the NFL Draft.

Make plans to be a part of history and enjoy a great evening of football and fellowship with fans and former NFL players at the 2016 Draft Day Experience! For ticket information, click the link below.
